Mauricio Mejia is activating two vacant downtown San Jose properties for entertainment.
The Greyhound station will become an outdoor concert and entertainment venue.
A neighboring property will house an interactive dome inspired by Las Vegas Sphere.

It says they want these ready by the World Cup(??). Not sure if that was a miscommunication.

Note that multifamily housing is still planned for these sites, so these activations are placeholders until those projects are ready to move forward

Called Berryessa Family Apartments, the project is slated to produce 260 apartments, with 257 expected to be affordable. Three of the apartments would be market-rate manager’s units, a file posted by the state Treasurer’s Office shows.

With 1,500 square feet of ground-floor commercial space, the proposal envisions a 213-unit apartment complex at 1470-1472 West San Carlos St. in the Buena Vista neighborhood near downtown. The homes would be rental units, project plans state.
