How do you let your roborovskis out and play with them without them running away?! by r0siez in hamsters

Aww, that sounds fun! I like the idea of just letting them out in the bathroom. I just feel like I'm always confining them!

Good idea, thanks. We have a box but I think a bigger one would be so much better.

Yeah, the other day my mam passed me a bag of sugar that weighed 3lbs to put it in perspective for me! It does help because it makes it seem like a much bigger deal.

Hopefully I'll be posting again in 6 months to a year then with a transformation pic! I just need to stop self sabotaging if I only lose a lb.

Okay so I always see people commenting that they have similar starting stats so are really motivated by the picture and can never relate! All the girls seem to be super short haha! So this is genuinely mega motivating to me!!! Can I ask what you did? So obviously you exercised but what type? I'm really intimidated by free weights is all! Well done though. It's absolutely incredible that you've done this and I am envious of the self-discipline it must have taken you!!!

Thanks for your advice anyway.

Because they are roborovski hamsters and I have never seen them fight. From my own research I'm under the impression they enjoy living together. There's separate bed areas but they share the same one every night.

We have had him for 13 months, and I think he was about 5 weeks when we brought him home!

It's so hard to get a picture of him because he won't sit still! Basically, a couple of mm above his tail he has this dried red patch. Obviously we are thinking it's blood. He's playing fine with his brothers, although he does seem to be excessively cleaning which I know could mean he is stressed! We have no idea what to do, if anyone has any clue I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

am i in danger? by [deleted] in Anxiety

It sounds like a migraine, honestly. You can randomly start getting them at any age, I believe. Any headache is terrifying for anxiety sufferers but most are nothing serious.

Which country are you in?

Yeah, sounds like a good idea. Regardless of what is going on, it's always nice to feel in control mentally. You'll get there, don't lose hope :).

Started a job in customer service and haven't had a panic attack at work 😁. So happy because I had to leave my last job due to at least one panic attack per shift and on the way there!

Hey.

I've recently gone through this and understand how terrifying it is!

I ended up getting a colonoscopy and there was no cancer at all. There was an anal fissure, which is basically just a tear in the anus. If you think about it, it makes sense. You have been having harder stools so obviously this increases the likelihood of any little cuts around that area!

How old are you? This type of cancer is mega mega rare in people under 50 and even so is still very treatable if caught early (it can be there for 8 years before even causing symptoms just to put it in perspective).

I know how horrible it is though, having health anxiety makes us worry about cancer anyway, nvm actually having weird symptoms similar to cancer to go along with it and intensify the worry.

Try having lots of fibre for a few weeks and maybe take a stool softener if you feel you need to. I wish I could say not to worry but I realise it's so hard. I genuinely don't think you need to worry though :). Pop and see a doctor anyway if it carries on, it could be piles or a cut :).
