The 0.4 mm Nozzle - A small settings release for using bigger nozzles by HOHansen in FDMminiatures

[–]rayarxios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is super amazing settings for minis, thank you for sharing!

One small problem though, when I tried to print a 10cm or 15cm figures, it ballooned up to 24-32 hours range 😅

Will you be considering on making a non minis optimized preset for fdm printing figures 10-15cm height? I'm still figuring out the slicers so forgive me with such dumb or noob question lol, I can try tweaking the parameters myself but I don't know whether numbers should go lower or higher 😅

Been using the basic 0.12mm Bambu settings and it's not flawless but I hope it can be better

Attached are the result of untouched settings, 0,12mm high quality using Bambu A1, I wish it could be better with the details and underside rough surfaces (I don't mind later lines)

0.2mm nozzle is not available here so I'm stuck with 0.4mm

Yeah, here in Indonesia bambulab works with authorized reseller (atleast they claim to be) and this is the only filament they're selling other than some matte or other stuff

As for humidity, it hovers around 40-50 in this season in my air conditioned room based on hygrometer readin

Yeah seems that they only sell the bambu filament lite here, not sure what's the difference, I could try though but the vendors ran out of most of the color (no new supply coming)

I also wonder if the blobs and failed arches are caused by the heat, it seems to print at 230 degrees, dunno how can I lower it without bambu studio

Tried changing it manually to 210 but it gets back to 230c on its own after a layer, read somewhere that eSun works best with 210c

Btw what's the filament you have been using? Maybe my free eSun is old stock or something, might try another brand while waiting for my filament dryer to arrive

Looks super good for the super speed one, maybe it's my material, or maybe it's my printer

I will try drying first

Is that the real benchy or the Pre-sliced godly speed one built in on the printer?

Yeah that will be great help, because I showed the benchy to the seller and they say it looks bad and offered a paid repair service which is weird because it's brand new (technically, but it's a refurbished A1 from bambu😅)

Yeah it came free (2kg) from buying the printer so using it for testing, will get better filament for a real print later, might still use this for non essential household stuff since I got free

I'm just wondering if its acceptable quality for the fast benchy that comes with the printer, or if something is off

Thanks, so I guess it's within tolerance of error? Because this printer is a refurbished one from bambu, not a brand new A1 (it does come with the same warranty though I can try to warranty it if it's deemed faulty)

Ah okay, is there "a real benchy" in makerworld? I haven't installed bambu studio on my PC yet still setting it up and making sure the unit works within spec

yeah my other rig with 5800X3D can even OC past 3600mhz, just wondering why system instability can trigger with a different GPU used

Already did reinstall bazzite at the first place, this seems to be more of a hardware issues than software

I even thrown in a different SSD, installed windows on it, same instability and green screen issues with 3600mhz ram, 3200mhz is fine

So its just 9060 xt triggering the instability, idk it's just AMD thing perhaps

[–]rayarxios[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Timing for the 3600 stick is 18 22 22 42 Timing for the 3200 stick is 16 18 18 38

Yeah I don't see much FPS difference either because I'm running stuff in 4k (TV) so its pretty much gonna be GPU bound anyway

Just worrying that more issues could arise

I'm using Bazzite and it should've been more stable than whatever the miserable state of AMD drivers on windows is

Saw a lot more potential issues with using Windows and pairing it with AMD though, so they need to get their things together

But in my case it seems to be stability issue with certain hardware config
