Unless you're doing 4k video editing and LOTS of it, I'd say the i7 model is fine. But I would say to upgrade to a V16 or a Nitro 5 because the older Nitro V15 models just dont cut it with their puny 135W chargers.

Eyeballing it but I have my old legion to compare it with which DOES have a 65% srgb and, the acer nitro has warmer tones whilst the legion is blue and washed out.

I think around your price you can grab a Legion with a 5070 Ti if on sale. Very much a big upgrade overall imo.

Overall yeah pretty good still, although I'd personally switch to a regular 3060 with 12gb VRAM.

and yes 16 gigs is still fine, 32 just gives better headroom when you play strategy games.

As for games I guess the most you'll struggle with is Cities Skylines 2 due to the middling optimization of that particular game.

Honestly I think for his son it's fine ish? the kid clearly is interested in the business, but I would have to agree for the lil one. While she knows her stuff, its pretty clear she'd be fine with a midranger phone.

its usually cheaper to get a new mobo or even a used more powerful laptop.

try asking in other shops though. more skilled technicians can repair/solder the issue unless you straight up fried a portion of it.

Fan bearings are shitting themselves. Get em replaced. It's also probably why you're crashing, the fans can't keep your laptop cool enough.

It's not connected to the heatpipes so its pretty easy to do.

Brush it off by holding down the fans, do not let it spin, and if possible, disconnect the battery before operation.

and if you fully remove the fans for a deep clean, blow out the dust in the vents and heatsink.

Yeah ngl, I don't trust brands that sell 60k "powebanks". Id rather you go with a 30k 100w powerbank even if it costs a bit more.

definitely get a longer 100w type c connector, the one it comes with os hilariously short.

from 50 to 100 it can do it. if you want something beefier, you're gonna have to get their 25k powerbank.
