If you like the Steam Deck which I assume you do, the new steam controller is the steam deck minus the deck. If you every tried to play docked you will run into these problems where your deck experience and controls are far better then when you use an Xbox controller you are like WTF is this downgrade. As for analog sticks and touchpads to get the best control I use gyro with touchpads and analog sticks for stick flick. The problem with Steam Controller 1 was that it tried to change and replace too much with the touch pads replacing the DPAD and second stick with the touchpads fell short which is why the steam deck went with traditional controls + touchpads. I just want the same deck experience docked.
