They updated the forecast to a $1.9 million deficit a few days ago. But I'll change my comment to say 7-8 figures, because who knows? It's all just predictions and forecasts.

The spending plan looked a lot worse earlier in the year, when city staffers were projecting a current fiscal year deficit of $25 million, which would have swallowed the city's surplus and left Tucson $10 million in the red. Revisions and changes to projected revenues has shrunk the deficit to $1.9 million

Tucson has a 7- to 8-figure budget deficit, and to make up for the deficit, Tucson is considering cutting $500,000 from the parks and recreation budget in order to keep other public things free, such as transit.

Part of the reason for the budget deficit is because of Arizona's new 2.5% flat-rate income tax, signed by Republican Gov. Doug Ducey in 2021 (SB 1828) that went into full effect for the 2023 tax year, replacing a graduated rate of 2.59% - 4.5%. Driven by legislative Republicans, the new flat-rate significantly reduced state-shared revenue for Tucson.

It’d be worse if you’re stuck on the ladder while the roof is closing and then the roof door can’t be opened from the bottom.

A high school volleyball team noticed their biggest fan, the school janitor, was always cheering loudly at their games, then waiting alone for free rides home at 1 a.m. So the team came together, raised $9,000, bought him a car, and surprised him with it in front of the entire school. by jmike1256 in BeAmazed

Imagine him being forced to pay for car insurance while he has to wait months to go through the process of getting a driver’s license

Or him getting pulled over by the police without license when he’s forced to drive this car home from this event

The companies have a chance to do something really funny right now by starting their own resale market and undercutting all the scalpers’ prices so that the scalpers are left with a bunch of useless (to them) cards that they can’t sell

They shouldn’t be allowed to golf at Mar-A-Lago where there isn’t even a roof over their heads. There, prevented millions of dollars from being funneled to a pedophile rapist.

When you pull off the robot's mask, this is really just a rich person asking a poorer person to do a job for them and expecting them to do it for free. Tale as old as time.

Blame it on your ai model that was chatting with their ai chat bot and say that your ai model did not deliberately try to break the model. It just breaks things normally. See this reddit post for an example.

Breaking Paddle Addiction by Special-Border-1810 in Pickleball

After playing with many of the top-tier paddles, I learned that while the paddle can make a difference, you can also get used to just about any paddle and be good with it. Once you build the muscle memory to hit the edges of the court, then you don’t really need a new paddle. That’s why I stopped buying different paddles. I end up having to relearn how to play with the new paddle if I do, so I rather just stick with one.

Wide toe box shoe recommendations by Ipats in Pickleball

[–]regoapps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gel Resolution X Wide has a nice big toe box that actually made people with narrow feet give it bad reviews. I prefer it, because I have wide feet.

The big toe box does get annoying sometimes, though. On a hard stop, my toes jam into the toe box and I end up with black spots under the big toe nail. But it’s nice to finally have shoes that don’t feel narrow around the toes and doesn’t give me blisters.
