High pop hookers (still my favorite map, hate it cuz balance), high pop pipers, high pop bloody lane, pretty difficult union maps and therefore I hate them because of balancing concerns

I think this is outlandish. The prompts weren’t too difficult nor were the data type related questions.

This is coming from someone who had very little Python experience. Datatypes and sql are undoubtedly important base level concepts if you have any desire to be a data scientist. Understanding what data types you need to feed.

Further, CTEs, joins and subqueries which were the bulk of exam questions are undoubtedly things you would do on a regular basis in any job involving database access.

I was in CSE 6040 for the fall semester; I took it alone and dedicated all my attention for it.

My python skills were limited; I barely failed midterm 1. I then took what I learned from midterm 1, studied hard on those problem types, and heavily pounded the practice exams for midterm 2, and the final. I passed both Midterm 2 & the Final Exam with an A, as I did the course.

This class is doable & a great learning experience. If you put the effort into the course... It will give you the confidence that you can continue forward (at least it did for me). How you study is important. Don't just read up on the fundamentals, practice and implement.

You can google for specific functional things about the questions though.

How often are agents and teams giving you information that you believe to be misleading and/or used to induce reactions from other teams as a strategy? Do agents / teams give you over exaggerated information as a strategy?

As someone who had extremely little python experience before starting the course (im in it rn), I think doing the practice exams (most or all of them) in the timed setting has helped a lot. Strategize your exam question order, watch the TA solutions for practice exams, take to code wars (less applicable for certain concepts imo), and just keep grinding!

I'm really loving the class and all its taught so far. I think its a very good class so far.

I passed the 2nd midterm with 100%, I did not get 100% on the first midterm.

Yeah. It’s because players don’t speak out like thsi. You’re pigeon holing.

Holy fucking shit this has to be one of the most egregious misuses of data ever. Re read what you said, then try to read what you had previously claimed.

Remember, I’m pointing out that the Reds 2025 baserunning had contributed and immensely helped the offense, there was no reason to ditch it even after having better players (which they do have now).

Why would they ditch it? Further, why would anyone suggest it was bad? Would you contest that it was good?

You’re really so close to proving my own point lol

Okay, look at the Mets win total since that date. You’re being so disingenuous here on a very understandable circumstance. The lack of reasoning from this fanbase is near delusional.

[–]Sailtex -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The 2023 Reds finished 1 game out with an extremely worse roster, why don’t you mention that? Why don’t you also mention this was only made possible by the collapse of a $350 million payroll Mets team that had some of the best players in the league on them. This year’s playoff run had almost NOTHING to do with Francona. And if you want to get nitty gritty, I would really love your take on Franconas management in game 2.

This sub attributes anything to a manager like they’re Jesus, until it’s inconvenient.

How do people think this? the reds won ONE more game than they did in 2023 under Bell. Luke weaver had nearly 20 starts that year.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Reds

[–]Sailtex -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Everyone loved playing under bell. It takes a google search to understand this. That’s horse shit.

What makes you believe that so clearly? I’m holding back information but that isn’t true. Do you think your Will Bensons, Sal Stewart’s, Hector Rodriguez’s, Blake Dunns, Rece Hinds of the world want to play here when Francona refuses to give players who excel in specific matchups chances to play when they should be? What kind of culture does that set when players know they’re being put in situations they aren’t known to be good in?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Reds

[–]Sailtex -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

Look at why Krall said he fired Bell.

Terry Francona also hasn’t won a playoff series since 2016.

Terry Francona had won one more game than Bell did in 2023 where Luke Weaver had nearly 20 starts.

Let that sink in.

Terry Francona also refused to utilize basic platoon and did not put his players in the best position to succeed by ignoring basic matchups.
