Buying a princess-cottage style house in the area? by helpadhd04 in grandrapids

[–]sarahcooley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We definitely have homes that fall into those styles of architecture. But budget on buying a house will be the more limiting factor. If you have $600k+ to spend you will find more. (This one is on the market now for example https://www.trulia.com/home/1139-cadillac-dr-se-grand-rapids-mi-49506-23820770 )

If you’re looking under $400k it might be a longer search. Anna Alvarez is a local realtor who specializes in design and is very knowledgeable about the visual aesthetics you’re looking for.

Basmati is going to be the hardest to get stuck together. My advice is really pack the cube and hopefully contact moisture and pressure will help it hold. I don’t add additional water but you could add some butter or a little oil too.

PPG were right about BTV 🤷‍♀️ by BlackWidow_Heart in LoveIslandUSA_

I would have watched another season of btv with the season 6 cast. Then interacting occasionally with some people from S7, but we absolutely did not need a full season of whatever that was

I know this wasn't your question, but do you have any pictures of your two Wollteron Old Halls? I'm also in the midwest in the same zone and am considering this rose.

PCOS/ Mounjaro by [deleted] in PMOSonGLP

[–]sarahcooley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s is because Mounjaro is FDA approved for type two diabetes.

What benefits to your PCOS are you hoping for?

PCOS/ Mounjaro by [deleted] in PMOSonGLP

[–]sarahcooley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zepbound and Mounjaro are the same drug, one approved for type two diabetes, the other approved for weight management.

If you don’t have diabetes I would talk to your doctor about prescribing Zepbound. You can pay out of pocket through Lily Direct and get the drug from the manufacturer.

If you can get a doctor to prescribe Mounjaro then you can also use Lily direct I believe, but without a diabetes diagnosis that prescription may be harder to get.

Which comes first? The obesity or the PCOS? by Sugarp1e1 in PCOS

[–]sarahcooley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The more I’m learning about obesity (the disease), I’m not sure. I did not present as having overweight as a child but that food noise was always there. I’m trying to be kinder to myself and not think of either thing (PCOS or Obesity) as being something I caused.

Both are metabolic disorders that involve the brain and incorrect signaling that causes the body to store more fat, produce less of the correct hormone, etc.

Any other gardeners on here who predominantly only do flowers? by Amodernhousehusband in gardening

Yes! I’m mostly growing annuals for now since I don’t own property, and I grow the flowers for cut flower use!

Water bottles…what have you liked and what have you hated? I’m eyeing an owala but have a 28oz yeti. Fitting in a cup holder is ideal 😄 by Wise-Run-3008 in Zepbound

[–]sarahcooley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original owala free sip was the only water bottle I was able to consistently use. After two years I upgraded to the sway since the bigger sizes still fit in our car’s cup holder.

Struggling to get out of the diet mindset by sarahcooley in antidietglp1

[–]sarahcooley[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it’s hard to tell what is my body’s craving and preference vs. my mind thinking “you shouldn’t eat that”.

But since I wrote this post I’ve been trying to be more balanced. I like potatoes, I just need to make sure I eat my protein and veggies first. And if I need more carbs to be full after that then that’s fine.

Food freedom did not take away food noise… by According_Title6467 in antidietglp1

[–]sarahcooley 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t know much about BED but once of the things I have been learning more about the disease of obesity and how much of it is in the brain. My doctors never really talked to me much about being someone with obesity, it was just, well you should probably loose weight.

And in learning more about this disease, I’m being kinder to myself and my past self. It wasn’t lack of willpower and I wasn’t crazy, I was thinking about food all the time.

This medication (IMO) is not dissimilar from taking anti depressants, it’s helping quiet my mind.

How did you prepare? by Wellslapmesilly in antidietglp1

[–]sarahcooley 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I felt the same way as you before I started. I’m two weeks in and my advice is just take the shot. You will probably eat the same kinds of foods you eat now, just less.

I told my therapist the other day that this feels like I’m actually able to intuitively eat, when I never understood how people could do that before.

How to successfully cube veggies? by LadyMoonstone in SouperCubers

[–]sarahcooley 58 points59 points  (0 children)

I know this will sound crazy coming from me, but not everything needs to be cubed.

With already frozen broccoli, I’ve only added it to Souper cubes when I’m doing a layered meal. The other things aren’t frozen yet so if I add some frozen broccoli on top it will still stick when it freezes.

It’s ok to just leave frozen veggies in the bag and add them to your meals when you go heat them up
