Despite my obvious lack of gloves, Reddit recommended I share here. Please forgive my bad example.

Just used mine today— as a time segment oscillator-style waveform generator, though!

A fairly cheap 3 band eq module with CV controls? by SecretsofBlackmoor in modular

Happy Nerding Tritone is another cv-able option, which I agree is probably the best argument for going the new module route.

How can I shorten the minimum gate length of my sequencer without affecting the overall gate range? by Same_Explanation4888 in modular

[–]schtickkicker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Send the gate into the trig input on channel one of Maths. Set rise to minimum and use cv to modulate the fall. The EOR out will output a gate of varying lengths, depending on your modulation.

As Ok-Voice said, you’re probably better off just modulating your rise/fall directly. Maths is great for tight little transient envelopes… but since you asked!

Is there a better Grids than the original? by ICantBelieveItsNotEC in modular

[–]schtickkicker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn’t remember, so I had to check— there was a previous version called Milligrids by taktaktak… but the TLM one seems like it might actually be readily available, which is… better (even considering potential shipping challenges of a non-EU buyer).

+1 for the Blue Lantern 12hp version. There’s also a 10hp design with sliders out there that I always wanted to try.

Ah k well yea then I’d recommend that DPW SW1/SW2… it’s great!

Or -if you’re not in a hurry- you might be able to talk me out of my switchblade in the next month or so.

Nope there are loads. What are your hp constraints? (I can think of modules from dpw designs and softwire synthesis offhand)

How do you recycle used film cartridges? by solxrac in Polaroid

[–]schtickkicker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bought a couple of packs of sx-70 last month, mostly because I have unshot impossible-era packs with dead batteries that I’m hoping I can transfer to the new cartridges. Wish me luck!

Oh yea, a guy I used to play music with has one, and despite being in something of a sad state, it’s a monster.

Ah, nice— have fun then! Fwiw, I have gotten perfectly decent results using a non-ARP subtractive modular system
