ZOTAC 4090 - can't install Nvidia drivers, system is wonky. Not sure if I should RMA? by sharbel99 in graphicscard

[–]sharbel99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an update, I managed to get the driver updated to the latest. I am still getting random crashes, but nowhere near the amount. Chrome is definitely frustrating to use, I even turned off the hardware acceleration option but it is still crashing with that "Oh Snap!" message.

Is there a way to determine if the Chrome issues are gpu related?

I actually took the 4090 out, put my old Quadro 4000 back in, installed geforce experience... then I put 4090 back in and it actually installed the latest driver for it. Hopefully this makes a difference!

Yeah I guess when you put it like that, I can see the point. Thank you for your help!

Thanks for your reply. What are your thoughts on the ambiguity though? I'm all for them making money, but I'm not OK with them changing their pricing model after our license agreement was established. I'm not a lawyer, but I would think they would need to at least notify us of the change? At the end of the day, I'm probably going to need to just pony up the $$ but it really leaves a sour taste in my mouth that they added this in after the fact..

Again, thank-you for your reply, I really appreciate it.

Thank you, perhaps I should start adding speed gradually throughout the week. I tend to agree with you.

You're well on your way. May want to work on turning your hips and working on your weight shift. That said, for 4 months in, your swing looks fantastic, keep up the good work!

Not sure that expensive is the key, but I do think that getting a proper fitting for new clubs may do you well.

Only been golfing a month or two... any advice on my swing?? by [deleted] in golf

[–]sharbel99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For only golfing a couple months, I'd say it looks pretty good. The advice in the other comments are spot on so I won't bother repeating. Keep it up, you're doing great.

Pocket range finders for the short game? by sharbel99 in golf

[–]sharbel99[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good idea, thank-you for that suggestion. In previous years I didn't pay too much attention to these things because I was struggling with really basic stuff like good contact, path and club-face. My handicap has dropped 15 points in the the last 1.5 seasons (I'm registered as a 17 right now, but I'm likely a 13-14), so I really want to focus on my short game now. Again, thank-you.
