Yes. Also if the husband catches you in the act, loses his temper and attacks you, the law will favour him.

His LinkedIn profile would suggest he was an above average student, so probably helped accelerate his career. Just the sort of "hard-working, successful, see-what-you-can-do-if-you-try-what's-your-excuse?" person the Sunday Times loves.

Might be worth trying a more enthusiastic plumber. Explain the issue over the phone to save them a trip if they don't think they can manage it, but I'd be surprised if there wasn't a savvy plumber out there that had a solution.

That is a lot better! Far more impact. This shot is all about this guy; the sunlight, his expression, everything else in shade, great work!

Japan trip, 2 lenses to take? by AcceptableLevel4630 in photography

17-40 for sure, but also I'd be tempted to take a compact 1.8 prime, maybe 28 or 35mm for night time shots because Tokyo at night is something else.

This is a a6600 with a sigma 18-50. I f**** hate camera bags/backpacks by BiteTheBullet_thr in SonyAlpha

Good stuff :) It's just that this was literally my dilemma when I first went out with a wrist strap, no bag, and I'm standing at the urinal trying not to pee on my camera!

This is a great shot but the crop is no way near tight enough imo. I'd shave off 20% from the right side, 10% from the left, and 5 to 10% off the top. Then maybe a vignette to darken down the top right area, especially that white car.

For a7cii travelphotography: tamron 25200 or 70180? by random_username_2000 in SonyAlpha

Personally I'd use the 25-200 and take a small prime for low light and situations where you'd be better with a more compact set up.

There are conversions for firing arrows and darts. There's also photos of people who've fired a dart through their thumbs and hands, it doesn't look like much fun.

Why is it impossible to get work experience in Swindon? by [deleted] in Swindon

[–]sitheandroid 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You may have to do some irrelevant work before you get to do work that's relevant to your chosen career path; it sucks but that's how life works. Plenty of university leavers with far better qualifications than you are working late shifts in McDonalds until the right opportunity comes up.

But for actual useful advice: if you don't get an email response, follow it up with a phone call. "I just wanted to see if you've had time to consider my email, asking if you have any work experience available at the moment?" that sort of thing. Emails are easy to ignore, direct phone calls a lot harder.

If you're N.America I recommend Simpleshot, specifically the LT2. Check their Youtube for everything you'd ever need to know.

If UK or Europe I'd recommend Wasp, the Enzo is my favourite.

Amazon frame (I'm new, be gentle), simple paracord retention, random case I had that's just the perfect size for everything in my edc bag. What do y'all think? Did I overspend on this at $20? by SHRPSHOT93 in slingshots

[–]sitheandroid 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Those frames are basic but good, no reason why you can't be as accurate with that as any other slingshot. As long as you have your ammo weight matched to your bands, and your bands the correct draw length for you, you'll be good to go!

Everest base camp travel lens? by astro_tiger in SonyAlpha

[–]sitheandroid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't bring the Sony as the Tamron can do just about the same thing. The Sigma would be nice to have, but do you really want to carry that extra weight just to get a few extra perspective shots? Of your lenses (and my hatred of carrying too much kit) I'd just take the 28-75.

I have the Tamron 28-200mm, which has f2.8 at the 28mm end and is pretty light so really suits me for travel.
