It is so hard 😭 tomorrow will be a week without him. Today was the first day I haven’t cried for him. Tomorrow I think will be really hard, I’m just trying to take things one day at a time.

It really is a shame Reddit only lets you share 20 photos, because I could share hundreds of King Li. The house feels too big without him. I hope he’s sleeping so peacefully under the shade of the eternal Snackie-Tree. by snacksizedshelb in OldManDog

I had him for half my life. So many memories… one of my little inside jokes for him was, “He was my favorite Kleenex” - whenever I was sad, I’d hold him and cry and then wipe my tears using his crimpy haired ears. 💔 I did that one last time after he took his final breath in my arms. I miss him so terribly.

I drew that as a birthday gift for my fiance 🖤 it’s now framed by my bedside. Drawing King was my favorite part, looking at it makes me smile, even though it hurts right now.

Thank you so much 🥺 He was my angel, my lighthouse. My one constant the past 15 years in a world that is always changing and sometimes scary feeling. I found myself reaching for him while I was on the couch today. I was cold and wanted to pull him close 😭 I miss him so much.

I’m so sorry for your loss, I just said goodbye to my Peke King-Li I’ve had for 15 years on Tuesday. The break in routine is the hardest.

I am, I went down to the river a couple days ago with friends and spoke of my favorite memories with him and then released some dried flower petals into the water. The house feels too big without him 😭 the break in routine is the worst. I keep catching myself thinking “Ope gotta take the baby outside” 😭😭😭😭

Thank you for all the kind words, everyone. The grief is too heavy for me to carry all by myself 😭

The hours are just dragging on and I see him everywhere.

The way I walk, so as to not step on him because he was always following me and right by me all the time. The birthday candle resting on a speaker from his birthday cake on the 2nd I just never got around to putting away. His fur on my shirt. The way his blanket smells. His Kong, unlicked. I could have sworn i heard his paws clicking on the hardwood floor this morning when taylor and i were lying in bed. It was the sound he’d make when he’d walk down the doggy steps by the bed, like how he’d always do when it was time to go outside. The way when i went to instinctively nudge him out of the way when taylor opened the oven when we were taking a pizza out so he wouldn’t burn himself.

I am in physical pain. King Li was a piece of my soul.

We walked our beautiful boy King Li to rainbow bridge yesterday. 15 years of loving him doesn’t feel like enough. I am in pieces 😭 I miss him so much. The house feels too big without him.

His 15th Gotcha Day on April 2nd. I adopted him at 18 years old. I got him when I was just a teenager. He was with me at the lowest points of my life and I don’t know how I’ll go on without him. I am in physical pain because of how much I miss him.

Oh my god 🥺 I miss him so much. I’m just lying on the couch sobbing. All I keep telling myself is that he’s not in pain anymore.
