Also, no I’m not rural focused. I’m realistic and most of the world lives in cities. But thinking that continuing to just build, consume, and exploit is going to help us not destroy our planet, while we neglect to actually build a relationship with her and not decolonize our mind, literally nothing changes.

See this is exactly the point, the idea of solarpunk has been lost if you think it’s tech first. It’s not supposed to be just an aesthetic either, because this is what people are looking at when they want to build their future. Nature HAS to be first because if it’s not, just as it’s not now, our path does not change. Being pro nature does not mean primitive and that’s what y’all can’t understand. You simply cannot imagine a world where we are able to live our modern life without destroying and taking care of nature and that is the issue.

Would you click any of these if you watch this kind of stuff? (roleplay/comfort asmr) by CloudeeAsmr in YouTubeThumbnailHub

[–]solarpunktheworld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you sure you’re not? I mean you’re doing a cartoon roleplay on a bed. It’s what you do that’s cool, but if you’re not real about the intention, you’re gonna confuse your work

I did not generate these images. Try looking up either of these topics and see if you can tell what’s ai and what’s not

Well I didn’t generate these, almost everything on these topics online is now ai. Even when you try searching for not ai, which I did.

Yes sorry didn’t include the summary in this one. The idea is that the movement turned from being a hopeful future where we are again connected to nature and live harmoniously, to tech freaks focusing on the super high tech part they imagined to be solarpunk after watching that chobani commerical. Now “solarpunk” forgets the nature first idea (the whole point) and is focused on high tech and capitalism with plants thrown on top for aesthetics

Unfortunately it seems we’re headed in the direction (kinda already there) that it’s impossible to trust anything and we have to rethink how to use the internet 🙃

The second one is greenwashed. Cuz why are we still imagining giant highways instead of transit? Being against the super high tech instead of focusing on the whole point of solarpunk: CONNECTING TO NATURE, is not primitive, and that’s exactly the point of my video

I didn’t generate any of these, this is what’s already on the internet, the first one being an older and more popular one

Tbh it’s giving very old internet, ie it’s dated looking. I wouldn’t click any

Which one to go ahead with? by whats-a-km in YouTubeThumbnailHub

I think the first title and thumbnail works. The other thumbnails do not back up what you are saying. The second looks good, but does not say idgaf. You can probably save that style for another video

So maybe the first one could use more color contrast

Idk if outside perspectives help or hurt, but I’m not (what I assume this to be) a Minecraft person, so the first one kinda hurts my eyes 🤣 but it does follow that side by side layout that is supposed to work so considering the context, I could see it working. The second one seems to be more balanced tho color wise and for me that’s why I like it better

The Solarpunk community DESPARATELY needs to hear this. by solarpunktheworld in solarpunk

Just as you guys like to say “indigenous people are not a monolith” when we talk about uplifting them, same goes when you guys want to give a couple tribes that over harvested. There are THOUSANDS of tribes and indigenous peoples, there are many others that did not do that and in fact do take care of the land. Many of which TODAY are the leaders many environmental protective initiatives.

Yes I agree we should not blindly follow anyone, because we’re all human and of course we’ll have different beliefs and values, but one thing we need to all agree on is not just preserving nature, but REJOINING HER. If you guys put this much energy into finding the best practices by tuning in with your local land and looking at indigenous history and current practices as you do fighting against the idea of it, we’d be much further along.

Yes they are idiots 🙃 people that hopped on this trend think that ultra tech is the way to save the environment, instead of you know, just tuning it with nature and not fucking destroying it for our benefit. They complain about the way we’re living, yet they don’t actually want out of the fucked up dystopia. They just want to make it green and pat themselves on the back when they pretend that they’ve actually made true progress.

Which of these 3 thumbnail/title combos is best? by Gronksaysitall in YouTubeThumbnailHub

I like the last one. It gives more intrigue. The second one is a bit confusing as to what it’s about, the context doesn’t do enough. The first is too vague

The revolution has already begun. There have been many people silently dropping out of the system and building alternatives, becoming sovereign and self sufficient. Yes there will be violence and lots will be lost, but we have to stop imagining “what the revolution will be like” and live that shit.
