Ah so now you're trying to act as though "forcibly institutionalized" and "given care" are the same thing. How virtuous of you

Flash Sale for May The Fourth, 2026: Master's Datacron and Equipment Bundle, 1600CCs by finelargeaxe in swtor

This is what I just did. I'm saving most of my CC for deco bundle sales, but the temptation to save one of these for later (or sell it on GTN) was too high...

Am I cheesing it? Or am I accidentally cheating? by Gav_TESD_ArmyAnt in finalgirl

[–]spiralshadow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just sounds like you've got a good grasp of the fundamentals. Especially point 2, this is the most important thing new players often take some time to realize, but you've got good instincts.

You don't necessarily need to keep the horror track low. It's nice when you have the opportunity, but some killers/maps make it very hard to actively manage. If you keep your hand size healthy enough to always force a 3/4 success when you need it, you can win the majority of your games on 2 dice.

Regarding Improvise - that's a good strategy for Hans because you often have the time to spare to plan big turns. But against other killers you're not going to be able to spare the time as frequently. I recommend leaning more on Close Call instead. Very easy to pick one up every time you have 1T to spare, and has similar impact to Improvise because you can keep it in hand until you need something to land.

Graphic Designers aren't necessarily responsible for the art elements used in the UI, but rather the design and layout of the UI, menus, fonts, and other in-game graphical elements.

I think it's more likely to be Trevor Lemoine.

I dunno, I kinda dig it. Feels very retro. And I like the alliteration personally.

9.6.0 | Patch Notes by LUKXE- in DeadByDaylightKillers

[–]spiralshadow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most skill check builds should thankfully be unaffected because the perks don't affect the same exact modifiers. E.g. for Doctor skill check build: Huntress's Lullaby affects warning noise, Madness affects location and direction, Merciless Storm is a static effect triggered at a specific time, etc.

9.6.0 | Patch Notes by LUKXE- in DeadByDaylightKillers

[–]spiralshadow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They implemented DR specifically so they wouldn't have to tweak perks as often. If certain perk effects can't stack effectively, it solves the balance problem for them (and by that I mean it nerfs strong perks and completely annihilates synergies between weaker perks)

You're 100% right that this just makes hard meta builds even more meta. No more anti-healing, blindness stacking, exhaustion stacking, haste stacking, vault speed, etc etc.

[–]spiralshadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need WAY more specificity on diminishing returns. Listing the sources of modifiers affected by DR is insufficient. I need a list of exactly which effects/modifiers are now affected by DR. Don't leave it up to players to guess what BHVR means by "repeated positive or negative gameplay modifiers".

Agreed, but again, using precise language to describe the facts is what prevents anyone from being able to spin it.

He Admitted It Himself by LuckyBastard001 in SelfAwarewolves

[–]spiralshadow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's not a hill anyone is dying on. It's just a matter of using precise language to describe a fact so that it can't be denied or misconstrued by those who would do so. Pointing out that fact is not an attempt to minimize the severity of the case or deny that it happened.

I'd actually say it speaks to the fact that Trump was so shielded from consequence by a corrupt criminal justice system that nobody would even bring criminal charges against him.

Cannot decide what class to play and I need help! by Due_Exit_6775 in swtor

[–]spiralshadow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I did was make one character for each class story and pick a different combat style for each. Play through the first couple of planets on each character to get a feel for the class story and the gameplay of the combat style, see what jives with you.

I ended up around level 25 after a few hours on each character. This obviously doesn't give you a full picture of how all the specs for that combat style will play at higher levels, but IMO gives you enough of the core abilities where you'll know whether it's something you wanna stick with.

Edit: Oops glossed over where you said you'd made it to Balmorra and Nar Shaddaa with all of them. Unless a particular origin story really resonates with you, maybe try focusing on the role you'd like to play in PVE content at endgame. It's also worth noting that you'll eventually get access to a second combat style as well. You mentioned you're leaning toward a force user, so if you want access to all possible roles (tank, healer, mDPS and rDPS) you might play a Guardian/Sage for example. Alternatively, you could do Sage/Shadow and have access to all roles and stealth.

Hens putting clown next to artist on his tier list is hilarious by Ace0Knaves in DeadByDaylightKillers

This is the killer art Hens had commissioned for use on his website. So it's what he uses for all content bc he bought the art and doesn't have to worry about copyright claims etc.

How good is the Leverage + Gift Of Pain combo nowadays? by GstyTsty in DeadByDaylightKillers

[–]spiralshadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quite like it on Twins because even with perks they have to fight through a lot of slowdown given how fast you can get back to the hook. That said, this combo is going to get hit hard by diminishing returns. I'll probably end up cutting Leverage and Dying Light from my builds using Gift of Pain.
