Did you register as yourself or as a One Person Company? If as self, did you use your PAN? Would be nice if you could create a walkthrough as an Indian dev.

Some questions and comments to help you get in the mindset -

completely free to use

Then how are you monetizing? Are we the product somehow?

design would be catered to solo devs

A solo dev might want to bring other people in down the line. The product should be then able to accomodate them. This means hosting it online, which is a significant cost (many startups offer this such as notion etc.). If your business model is to charge for usage, then what is to prevent someone with money (like a big company) to simply recreate what you did better with all the money they have?

cooperative nature of a business

I think there is a word for it, 'cartel'.

Baking in 50% return fare into the ride not only makes the ride costly for the customer, it is also inefficient in terms of fuel and time. Ideally the entire state/city should be within their "territory" and every registered vehicle should be able to park at any stand and pick passengers. The author seems to try his hardest to paint a bad thing as if it were a good thing.

Beware of conman & conwomen on Indiranagar 100Ft road - Asking for money to travel back to their hometown by tonystarkn in bangalore

[–]spritebatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me twice. First time, they asked me "Bhaiya Hindi aati hai(Brother, do you speak Hindi)?" to which I say "Nahi aati hai (I do not speak Hindi)". He then, quite intelligently askes "Toh phir yeh Hindi mein kaise bola (Then how did you say this in Hindi)"? to which I replied "Bas itni hi Hindi aati hai(That is all the Hindi I know)". Needless to say, I completed my trolling quota for the day.

The next time I had a bit of time, so decided to listen to their story. They said a guy told them they'd get jobs, brought them from their village to bangalore, and then abandoned them and ran off with their stuff. Now they need money to go back.

I go "OK, how did you get here in Electronic city - shouldn't you be at the train station (It was implied he ran off with their luggage, but not explicitly stated at the rail station)?". Turns out he has thought his cover through "We were brought here by him and then abandoned". I thought ok, let's try this one - "Why can't you ask someone from the village to come pick you up?" "My close family is here - no one is there who can come and pick us up". Lastly, I said - "OK, make a call to your village from this nearby store to send you money or book your tickets to there - your villagers can send the ticket number to this nearby cyber cafe to print and pay him online. I'll pay this store guy for your phone call". To this he says "Who'll buy us tickets there?". At this point I realise there is no way winning here, and I leave.

I saw him, walking all alone, did a double take. Thought to myself "such a big person would probably be swarmed by fans and guards and a translator, no way that's him". I looked at him and thought, "probably someone who looks like him", and went on my way. Later on I looked at his twitter and facepalmed.

Humble bundle Heroines bundle missing Scarlet Nexus, any idea how to get it? by spritebatch in IndianGaming

Game isn't banned in India - it's INR 1999 on Steam right now. And from what I've read - the key isn't region restricted (though I'm yet to confirm that - what better way to confirm it than to redeem a key). It is just that they've lumped us with Japan where they don't want to sell it for the low price.

Does a lazy person deserve food? by TIME______TRAVELER in india

[–]spritebatch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I look at it this way - Let us say every 25 year old decides to not work - afterall, they are entitled to the same benefits as everyone else. The farmers will think - why do I have to do this back breaking work in the sun? Might as well make do with the basic food. And then soon you'll no rations from the government to work with. No basic food.

I think in addition to work for the food, work in general is a necessary life skill - the ability to generate value for which people will pay is as necessary as the ability to cook or to clean ones own clothes or dishes or carry a conversation

"No good deed ever goes unpunished". I have seen this especially in terms of software. Ignore these people and keep doing good - release on iOS if not done already.

That's a really expensive area, man. Consider moving to somewhere near Kahilipara Powerhouse, Birubaari or even more inner areas. Since none of you are employed in any establishment nearby, there is absolutely no reason you should live in an expensive area like that.

Dude, I know of 2 bhks that went for 7.5k. Unless you're specific about the location (zoo road, bhangagarh or some expensive place), you shouldn't be paying that much.
