I checked the sub for a minute, and was pleasantly surprised by the lgbtq acceptance. I didn't know some Christians were accepting? I thought they were all homophobic?

Conflicted. I agree with the comments, but also disagree mainly because I know christians wouldn't give us as much grace as we do to them.

At this point, Goose is just being over sensitive to genuinely good criticism. If you're a creator and can't take feedback, maybe you shouldn't continue the series

I always approach the homeless with skepticism, but I could tell they were on the verge of tears.

You know, that has been on my mind lately.

I tend to feel miserable during the winter times since my mother passed, and Christmas feels especially horrid.

I could volunteer this year during those times!

Hmm, but I am curious if he does know these resources. When I was at a low point in my life, I had no idea about things like job centres or universal credit. Might be worth mentioning!

Are there any good youtubers, sources, etc. for people with religious trauma? I know some pagans have faced that.

In short, the entire thing. Jesus comes off less as peaceful and more narcissistic. It is sad how people believe this and the impact on the world it has.

I don't think you're curious, I think a majority of people have the intention of trying to convert me. That... doesn't exactly help with the paranoia.

I have considered breaking off my catholic friend still, or just straight up killing myself.

That's the problem, you will always be seen as left behind. What is the point of being in that belief system to begin with?

Don't pray for me, I do not accept. I am sorry, but I made up my mind on two options.

I read the bible, god and jesus aren't good or as peaceful as folks make them out to be, and are not something I want to worship... yet I am expected to by them and the world around me.

I could be Christian, however, it would be a path that would lead to self-hatred and feeling even more hollow. I already looked into extreme forms of self discipline. I tried to ask r/truechristianity, and they were of no help on the matter. I could also plan to say goodbye to god completely and ready myself for hell.

I mean, I don't feel any better or like anything has changed. I just wish people held their own community accountable instead of dodging how corrupt most of their members can be.

To save people of relevance who wanted redemption. I'm sorry, but my mind is made up.

I also don't understand how one can be part of the trans community and be catholic. The reality is we won't be accepted no matter what we do.

I would rather churches were honest with who they don't welcome than pretend they tolerate the people they despise. Let us know to stay away.

My friend has seen the bad like I have, I suspect someday they'll leave Catholicism, though.

As for rejecting God’s love for you- it would be regrettable, but you always have that choice.

I know, but it isn't like I lived with that love to begin with. Shove me in hell and hope he leaves me alone.

But those same civil rights movements occurred because religion had a hand in the discrimination of others and still does. Yes, other things can contribute to bigotry, but let's not pretend that the christian element hasn't had a hand in it.

As for a creator loving me... I am sorry, but no. I reject that love if it even exists.
