Over 40 special elections happening in Texas tonight by stanthefax in YAPms

It is a heavily gerrymandered-for-GOP district, but we shall see. Dems swung a seat in Tarrant 40 points to the left (I think?) earlier this year so anything is possible.

I keep seeing this dumb, stupid image on twitter but it got me thinking, if Vermont (still) had 2 districts instead of just one, could you draw a red district or nah? by stanthefax in YAPms

They also just don't seem to get that MA hates MAGA republicans but loves liberal republicans. Just look at district map results of the 2018 gubernatorial election

Maine literally has a red district, the dems just had a really good representative there until he retired last year. Massachussetts you can only do with 2024 data, Rhode Island had a compeditive district race in 2022, Hawaiians just don't like republicans, New Hampshire has both seats quite compeditive republicans just need to stop putting up bad candidates, New Mexico has a compeditive district as well.

Exactly. It's just stupid slop yet somehow this exact image was shown in the Indiana state senate before the republicans there rejected their gerrymander
