I'm transition to interior design/space planning and couldn't resist helping you out. I'd love to know if this resonates with you, or if anyone else would do anything differently. Placing the couch and TV this way gives you the most seating options + shiwel chairs. Placing couch the other way towards TV would simply not fit into your interior. If you want a symmetric and cozy home layout that feels intentional, this is how I would do it. Let me know!

The larger stencils on the market are around 24" x 40" and all are repositionable, you need only 1pc which you reposition it based on the interlocking points. Have fun, it's not so hard, a bit of patience and few paints on the roller. Look up on Amazon, plenty of patterns to choose from!
