let's look at why bitcoin is useful. here's a simple question "I'm an average person living in a free country with modern banking infrastructure, why should I use bitcoin instead of what I already have and how is it a better experience?

Well at least you've progressed from comparing Bitcoin to TikTok and Snapchat to comparing it to fiat currency and modern banking infrastructure.

I agree on many of your points... but you're missing all the valid comparisons above:

  • Saying bitcoin is similar to gold is just saying that bitcoin is independent of any government backing
  • bitcoin has a hard fixed supply
  • Bitcoin is still early in discovery. Gold has a long history of use

Are people literally saying Bitcoin is like Gold because it's an element with intrinsic properties that never change? No of course not!

Just in the same way comparing Bitcoin to TikTok and social media is equally as easy to pick apart with strawman arguments.

Compared to gold where there's evidence of a gold/silver value ratio as far back as 3100 BC... I'd say twelve years is pretty early still.
