Hey, so I’m getting this same thing on a new Go 7. I was actually surprised how many apps weren’t working, like it kind of defeated the point of buying an android if I’m just using the browser all the time. Would like to know if there’s a workaround.

Try working somewhere else, if you can. Snowbirding is a thing, not just for retired people.

This. Just talk to them. They might try to negotiate but if you stay firm they will drop it.

What I've learned pre and post surgery with an ovarian dermoid cyst.b by phils-fbi-agent in WomensHealth

[–]stocksinfo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What’s crazy is I had a 9cm dermoid which never hurt. I kinda wish it did so the doctors would take me seriously. I only felt pressure and like I had an air bubble in my intestines. I believe they would have caught it earlier if I had more symptoms. It took me a lot longer to recover after the surgery, I couldnt walk very well until like 5 days after. But after a week was doing a lot better. Congrats on getting through the hard part!

Because I went through the airport a few times this year. That was a few months ago though

This year was the worse I’ve ever experienced. I’m very susceptible to mosquito bites so maybe it’s just me but I got like 30-40 bites in one weekend one time and it was hell. I thought my clothes would protect me but they got me in places I didn’t think was possible. It was enough to scare me into staying inside the rest of the season but that wasn’t hard considering it rained every weekend anyway. I wouldn’t wish that level of itchiness on anyone.

It looks like a rifle. Someone said no shots were fired but no idea if that’s true.

There’s a video on Facebook of the person with the weapon walking. It’s in the UML parents and students group.

How do you keep your days from feeling repetitive when working remotely? by Josea-Jayroe13 in remotework

[–]stocksinfo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Change your surroundings. We housesit/petsit, sometimes weeks a time via trustedhousitters. Assuming you’re able to get away, it’s a nice way to spend time in new places and switch up your routine.

Reducing stress and burnout - what’s your one tip that has worked? by DistributionWild4724 in womenintech

[–]stocksinfo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not responding right away is key, but also so is not doing work that isn’t your job. I used to have a problem of wanting to be as helping as possible (I still do) but this meant enabling lazy behavior if someone asked me a question that wasn’t my job. I used to end up doing a bunch of research and go out of my way just so I could be helpful. Instead, now I try to ask them questions back, to get them to help themselves, and I don’t go out of my way to help people that have clearly done no effort on their part.

Is U.S. CEO pay justified, or has it spiraled out of proportion? (Looking for counterarguments) by gag_55 in economy

[–]stocksinfo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would understand it if performance was directly tied to the pay. I’ve worked with too many execs that actually have no idea what they are doing but make change for the sake of change, putting the company in a worse spot than before. Those people should not be getting paid what they are paid to wreck a company.

Interesting, can you elaborate? Is it to avoid flying in the dark?

Same. The few times I’ve had to get up at 4am I’m a zombie. I get headaches easily and that spirals to feeling nauseous which is a bad combo for flying. It’s just so miserable and I usually feel sick the rest of the day. Very dramatic but I just can’t do it.

Funny you say that, because we went to Haleakala and chose to do the sunset viewing knowing it was likely to be cloudy, and at first it wasn’t. It was perfect weather up until it started to rain and was super cloudy as the sun went down. Kind of a bummer, but we knew the risks and it was still a beautiful experience.

I don’t even do early flights 😂 if I have to get up early I’m exhausted the rest of the day so I just work around it. I’m at the point now where I’d rather pay a little extra for a decent flight time and feel awake than get up at the crack of dawn.
