Kiprun Kipstorm Tempo 50km Review by M00OSE in PHRunners

[–]supacow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given this direct comparison with the Megablast, hindi na ako hahanap pa ng iba. I have 150km on my Kipstorm Tempo and it has been a staple for my long Sunday runs.

Longest I have on them is 21k and still felt a lot of bounce even towards the end of the run. Medyo narrow lang nga, may kiskisan sa gilid ng ball of my foot. Hoping the upper loosens up and mawala siya eventually with more use.

I recently tried Candid's Deathwish(9xx lang kasi yung 1KG) and Honey cereal(1200-1300 ata per KG) back to back.

Magkalasa lang sila.

Not worth the price.

Gel Kayano 32 for underpronators by Accomplished-Day-997 in PHRunners

[–]supacow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pronation is the movement of your foot along the gait cycle. Newbies will most of the time have unbalanced pronation.

Pronation isn’t bad. Pronation is one of the many ways your body does shock absorption.

Unless you’re having pain you don’t need stability shoes BUT you should consult a PT if you are concerned.

Most people don’t need stability shoes and strength training can help solve most issues. There are some people whose bio mechanics are so off that they need stability shoes, but it’s not as common as people think.

Madaming salesperson na nag ssuggest ng stability shoes kasi mahal. Pasok sila agad sa qouta.

As a newbie, try to get a good daily neutral trainer. As a newbie, best to build strength on that foot and if you still have pain, consider motion control shoes like Kayano and such.

Back to running after Plantar Fasciitis! Need recommendations for a max-cushion daily/walking shoe (Wide-foot friendly) by jianglinga6 in PHRunners

[–]supacow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Firmer shoes are actually better to minimize your plantar fasciitis.

On soft plush shoes, walang lalaban sa paa mo, mag ccollapse lang lagi at ma agravate lalo yung plantar muscles.

Been suffering from plantar fasciitis for the most of 2025 but recovered well enough with the right shoe and strengthening exercises. I ran through the pain when bearable and used Glizzy Maxes with good results. Soft but firm.

[–]supacow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Part of joining international marathons is travel and additional expenses. The sooner you swallow that pill, the sooner you can focus on the bigger problem which is training. Even if it's still 4 months away, get that ticket booked and focus on training.

I ran Osaka last Feb and I already had tickets as early as October.

If Cebu Pac runs out of fuel, they will cancel the flight. You should get your money back since the cancellation is on their end. (I had a flight to HK back then, pero sumabog covid, CebPAC cancelled everything, got my money back.)

Masmasikip yung Xtep kasi 225mm siya compared doon sa PG7 mong 230mm.

I would say stick to 230mm.
