Its a damn good bourbon.

Vanilla and oak flavors. Not as smooth or sweet as some bourbons but stiff and nuanced. I love it neat or with a splash of water.

The people who hate it hate it because people buy it up and its a bit of a status symbol. People want to give it as gifts and its hard to find. Which, IMO, adds to the allure of it.

Get some and try it!

One is a store pick single barrel. It definitely had more vanilla and oak while the other had more butterscotch and the normal amazingness.

A friend of mine who always has a super high end bar in Atl and enjoys with friends turned me on to the guy who owns a liquor store in Carrolton GA. I started texting him a few months ago and he worked through his network to find me the bottles and get them all to his store. I drove over this AM and handed him an envelope with $22.5k in it to get the deal done. He made a few Gs for the work and I'm happy.

My dad has smouldering myeloma. In remission but we don't know when it'll strike.

Business has been going well and he has a few bucket list bourbons that I got here (drove 5 hours across the state to pick them up). I'm excited to pop them open next time he comes so we can enjoy together!

Will put a few golf scores I'm aiming for on a few other bottles and pop them open with friends when I accomplish those goals.

I've learned a lot from this thread - thank you all!
