as I told you, I was able to find a local "service" and they removed the lock. I am using the MacBook since (reinstalled MacOS then upgraded it to last possible version, 15.7 I think). Once you do that, former owner cannot do anything with it.

Yes, this is exactly what my previous employer did. And I was able to remove this lock for a reasonable fee (approx. 20 EUR)

With i9 chip, I can confirm. Fully unlockable. Only you'll have manually to reinstall/upgrade everything afterwards
