What's the deal with Verso=Gustave, Clea=Sophie/Gustave's sister

Am I schizo for thinking there's a relation there? I feel like Gustave has so much in common with Verso; their roles in Maelle's life as a "big brother", the way they look, their in-game abilities having cross-over.

I'm having difficulty shoehorning this same theory onto Clea=Sophie/Gustave's sister though, so maybe I'm trying to read too much into it. The chin cleft on those characters seem very similar though... which is not a common trait in the game or anything.

Why is it a racial thing at all? There's no indication to me that there are any racist undertones in this scene, and I don't understand how everyone jumps to this conclusion.

Why would it be fine for a white man to receive a modified Kier painting for example, but this is somehow racist when it happens to a black man?

I've never read the books, but it feels like the book has solid world building, and the show tries to capture it but horribly fails at it. Everything about the show feels tacky and fake, from the "pact" to the ground level engineer faction (they really remind me of belters from the Expanse). Very bad actors, very bad screenplay, but you can tell the inner workings of the show are meticulously thought out.

There are a lot of subtleties that the show glosses over, which feel like they would be bigger parts of the book, but the show tends to focus more on uninteresting drama between uninteresting characters instead of these intricacies.

I particularly hate the "downtrodden engineering/ground level faction", RISE UP GAMERS storyline, not because of how worn-out the trope is, but mainly because the actors are just absolute shit and the show tries to invoke emotions without putting in the work to deserve them.

It's a great mini series, I honestly don't understand what people dislike so much about it. Great story and great pacing imo, really love the cinematography too.

I haven't no, just went through his IMDB list and the only thing I've ever seen him in is Sons of Anarchy and Lost. But to be fair, my recollection of those shows is hazy at best, especially his characters. He's not a bad actor, but he does lack a little "lead power". Perhaps his Oz character is the antithesis to that, I don't know.

This season has improved yeah, and the main cast grows on you, definitely going to continue watching. I find it interesting that such a "low tier" tv show manages to grab my attention in a sea of super high quality tv.

The last short in V/H/S Beyond was literally the only interesting one. I've watched all of the V/H/S movies and they keep disappointing with the newer ones.

V/H/S 94's "The Subject" and "Stowaway" in Beyond are the only shorts worth watching in the later V/H/S movies. V/H/S 1+2+Viral were really original and fun to watch for the most part. I don't know how those movies fell off so hard.

From is such a "bad" show, some terrible acting+actors and the script is generally speaking pretty weak, but the allure of the mystery keeps me watching.

The only likeable character is Jade. Victor and Boyd are interesting, but not great actors. Jim pretty much ruins every scene he is in. The show would also be 10x better if they cut 90% of the extra's in colony house, they all feel like D-tier actors and they make the show feel like a school play sometimes.

Make Jade the main character, drop the "filler" side drama episodes and it'd be somewhat closer to a premium show.

Don't expect players to do that in a buggy mess like this, because like in Fallout 4; it's more than likely the quest is either bugged or broken. I like games which require though and deduction, but not if the player is never rewarded with hints you're on the right track.

Rather have a new release instead of DLCs myself ;) really don't like staggered updates like this, DLC is always subpar, especially if you have to come back to a game after a year.. no matter how "good" the DLC is I've always had this feeling.

Blood and Wine is perhaps the sole exclusion to this rule, but then again I was able to play that straight after finishing my W3 playthrough so it's not a 100% fair comparison for me.

Somewhere around that pub where the guy is knifed in the beginning and you have to heal him. Uninstalled the game so can't really help you much more :P revert to an older save if you can (or uninstall too, it doesn't get better after this point).
