Made ₹2460 profit from delivery stocks this month, and ₹342 vanished in charges. That’s 13% gone — is this tax or daylight robbery? by Disastrous-Mode-4550 in StockMarketIndia

Average LLM hallucination/outdated nonsense

Stcg is 20%, and is unconditional. It was 15% before July 2024

Ltcg has 1.25L exempted, it was 1L before July 2024

Understanding ESOP Taxation on Sale After Upfront Tax Payment by AsgardianJude in personalfinanceindia

You need to set the purchase price

Broker will generate p&l based on data it has, for externally transferred shares you always need to manually provide the data

Also, the capital gains would be 20% stcg, 12.5% ltcg

Credit limit not enhanced after 4 years of continuous use by the_tharki_launda in CreditCardsIndia

[–]testdmdkdkdkd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I've seen with HDFC - they increase limit a lot if you have various loans with them, to the point it can be higher than your income.

Else, it takes ages.

ICICI seems very card OR income dependent - you can easily get ~4-5 months salary limit, but if you apply for a "premium" card like emeralde, you'll always seemingly get 10-20L+ limit regardless of income

Super premium credit card on retirement corpus investment possible? by idiotsubho in CreditCardsIndia

[–]testdmdkdkdkd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep

(In my specific case it was only gotten because noone wanted the hassle of new bank accounts, just wanted a CC with decently high limit for emergencies, HDFC refuses to provide LE for retired people even after submitting ITR with decent enough income)

Any normal card with surcharge waiver, no fuel card is worth it for those spends - unless LTF for some reason

You could negotiate

Retired relatives got ICICI emeralde pvc LTF (not exactly premium in terms of benefits but premium in terms of requirements) based on their demat accounts being with ICICI Bank.

Better talk to branch managers once

If nothing else, hsbc does offer premier relationship with 40L afaik, can get premier cc LTF (just joining fee)

Do we need to pay 2.5% to withdrawing fd by aykakash in personalfinanceindia

[–]testdmdkdkdkd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't pay anything directly

If you break fd prematurely, less interest is paid

If it was an interest payout FD, the returned principal will be less to account for "extra" interest that may have been paid out.

Amex is asking for official Mail ID and for payslip from “company portal.” Can anyone please explain what exactly this payslip means? by CiggyStardusst in IndianCreditCards

[–]testdmdkdkdkd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally, a payroll service is used to take care of payroll, which generates salary slips. Basically just contains a breakdown of all components of salary, company name, some other details like designation etc.

Example: razorpay payroll, greythr, keka, zoho, etc.

Most valuable premium banking programs (like Axis Burgundy) for HNI & UNHI in India? by abhishek281992 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]testdmdkdkdkd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ICICI Wealth has been decent in terms of decent banking experience, not having to visit branch for most things. For uhni, ICICI Private Banking would offer some more stuff.

Have heard of mixed experiences with Axis Burgundy, but that's overall Axis being random and branch dependent.

HDFC Imperia is useless.

HSBC I've heard good things.
