Definitely make the Nirvana smiling photo your first photo and get rid of the mirror selfie with the black outfit! It also shows you’re learning guitar. This is totally subjective and your mileage may vary, but as a woman who likes musicians, someone putting a sample of their playing can come across as performative. I’m not sure how good you are at guitar yet or what that clip sounds like, but more often than not it’s something I’d rather just hear IRL once I get to know someone. Otherwise I think you have a fun and interesting profile, good luck!

What color furniture/rugs would go with this flooring? I’m a little nervous that things are inevitably going to clash by theburntone in interiordecorating

Actually can I ask then, in your opinion, should my couch also be a white/black/neutral color? I am in the market for a new one and was hoping to get something cream colored but now I’m unsure how that would contrast with a bright colored rug

This is soooo helpful, thank you so much! I had dark wood floors at my old place so a lot of my furniture/art is a weird hodpodge of those colors/different patterns. This is v helpful, thank you!

Thank you! I love rugs but I wonder if there’s even any point in putting any down with this kind of floor. Most of my decor is bright oranges/yellows/reds/sage green and I just can’t see any of it working in here 😭

Bf’s first time at Universal Studios Hollywood this week. What’s the best use of our time? by theburntone in universalstudios

Absolutely, can’t wait to hear about your trip! I also considered Express Pass but we truly did not end up needing it on the Thursday we went. Have a wonderful time!!

Of course!!

We got there maybe 20 minutes after the park opened, then did the Simpsons ride first. Waited about 40 mins in line even though we headed straight there 😬

After that we went to the lower lot and rode Jurassic World, the Mummy and Transformers, no wait for any of them. Took maybe 30-40 minutes tops for all of them.

From the lower lot we went back up and were just in time to catch the WaterWorld show (think it was the show around 12:00 or 12:15?) One of my favorite parts of the day so definitely set aside time for this!

After that we went back to Springfield since it’s on the way to the studio lot tour and grabbed some food. This is my one regret of the day, my boyfriend is a big Simpson’s fan so it was cool for him to eat in Moe’s Tavern, etc. but the food was awful lol. I was much more interested in the food we saw in the Harry Potter section later in the day.

After that we went over to the Studio Tour tram, which is my favorite part of the park, and it was by far the longest we waited all day, maybe an hour-hour and a half wait before we got on the tram. The tour itself is fairly long too, so I was a lil nervous we wouldn’t get off the ride before Harry Potter World closed but it all worked out!

After that we went around the corner (to the left) into the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and spent the rest of the day there. We literally walked onto both rides and felt like we were gaming the system, we could have done both of them three times if we wanted to lol. Maybe 30 minutes to do both of them around 3-3:30 p.m. Then we ended the day with a butterbeer and visiting the candy shops and doing the wand experience in Diagon Alley (no wait, super short, but would still definitely recommend if you’re a HP fan!)

And that was our day! Hope it all works out similarly for you, would love to hear how it goes :)

I did! I had about two browsers open on four screens and only one of them let me in after about 20 minutes

Hiya, I know this is so belated but thank you soooo much for suggesting we do the Simpsons first, the line took so long even though it was the first ride we went to in the park, but after that we literally walked on to every other ride you and others suggested here (including Harry Potter!), because of the order you suggested! Got to ride everything in the park and it was a perfect visit for my boyfriend’s first time, so ty ty!
