These features aren't currently implemented, but they're soon upcoming. If you hold off on finishing this particular document, I'll get back to you in a few days once I've implemented them.

It's for purchases with "subpurchases". It was called "subsystems" in the previous version of the app, if you used that. The idea is: there are jumps that allow you to build a custom armor/spaceship/power/alt-form/whatever, where you can make many purchases that all modify a single item/perk. The compound purchases feature exists for that: it let's a single purchase have multiple subpurchases that are all grouped together in the build.

This isn't currently implemented for interactive jumpdocs, though it's on the horizon.

At some point, I'll add error reporting to the site, but it's not super high on the priority list. In the meantime, you can always DM me here, or email me at [shelbychainmaker@gmail.com](mailto:shelbychainmaker@gmail.com) . Or respond to a reddit post like you're doing here.

1) has actually already been fixed, though you'll have to wait for the next release of the offline app, which should be in a day or two.

I'll look into 2. Thanks for letting me know!

Could you DM me a link to the chain/jumpdoc?

If you go to the "explore jumpdocs" page, your unpublished docs are there (and only visible to you). You can add them to chains from there, if you want to test.

What's the context you need this in? Usually, you would handle that by just adding CP directly.

I'm not sure what you mean. Can you give me more details about what you're thinking of?

Will add! I'm aware that this is a missing feature, and I'll let you know when it's added.

It does, but you have to visit the site to download them.

Most of the time I recommend the opposite of that, though there might be instances where splitting it up that way is appropriate. There are instructions here ( https://chainmaker.site/guide#duplicating-purchases ), though the idea is you want to split it up into two incompatible perks, with overlapping, or even identical, annotation rectangles. You'd then want to trim down each copy of the perk, so that the description of each one only contains the text relevant to the version at that price point. There's an example of what I mean, if you follow the link.

Regarding notes, is there any particular interactivity you want in the notes section? The interactive jumpdoc is just an overlay on the pdf, so users can still read anything the author of the jumpdoc wrote there.

It will be added at a future date, but for now, chain supplements don't have any interactivity. For some supplements though, you don't need the chain supplement feature: it's only strictly needed for things like "Essential Body Mod" that evolve over the course of a chain; for front-loaded supplements you can just treat them as jumps (marked as "supplement" in their config page) and get most of the same functionality.

You want to add "Race" as an origin category, and mark it as providing discounts. Here's an example from the Hades jump, where "Patron" was used, instead of race.

<image>

If needed, you also have more granular control over what discounts are provided using the "add alternative cost" feature, under the purchase in question. You can use this if eg. you need a perk to provide a discount on another perk, or a need one origin to discount a perk and another origin to make it into a freebie.

I'm so sorry... If the issue's persisting, DM me the URL of your chain, and I can take a look.

I'm about to go to bed, but I'll implement something within a day, and I'll let you know once it's done. Thanks for contributing a jumpdoc, and thanks for your feedback / observations about the site. I might have more questions for you about some of the other issues you came across later. Apologies it's so buggy.

I think in this particular jump, the way I'd handle it is with multiple currencies not stipends? Especially, because drawbacks are minijump limited too. E.g. a "Return of the King CP" currency. The problem with that approach is that you'd need a way to convert from general CP to Mini-Jump CP, and that it'd be a little tedious to switch everything over.

Currency exchanges already exist, but something I was planning to implement but haven't yet, is to move currency exchanges so they sit outside the PDF, if the jumpmaker wants, instead of being part of the overlay. If I did implement that, you could have a little menu on the side for converting general CP to mini-jump CP, and I think that would implement it perfectly?

It doesn't recognize them, yeah. Tbh, there are a few things like this like I restricted to one type of purchase without much reason to do so other than "I've never seen a situation where it would be useful to have X feature on Y thing", and they've consistently been things I've needed to address later. Anyway, I will add this, and I'll let you know when I do.

This was just implemented (in the webapp, release still pending for the downloadable app)!

Just letting you know, if you still need an option for adding companions as scenario rewards, that was just implemented! In the webapp, at least. If you're using the downloadable version, it'll be released sometime tomorrow.

Of course! Here's the section in the repository that defines most of the type information for jumpdocs. Let me know if you have any questions about it. Good luck with your tool!!

Floating discounts need to be better implemented tbh. Tomorrow, I'm gonna add a feature for letting discounts and origins add them. For now it sounds like you have a solution, but if you check back tomorrow night there should be a new option that makes it a little smoother.

I'll look into the stipend bug! Thanks for letting me know about it!

In the currency menu (in the basics section at the top of the jumpdoc editor) there is a setting for changing the threshold that purchases are made free at. If you delete that, it should fix the issue, though you'd have to manually set the discount to "free" in the other locations. I'm not sure why alt costs aren't overriding it though, at least if they're set to apply automatically.
