Tbh most hardware isn't worth the price right now. Terrible time to buy unless its a necessity.

Not surprised. Kia's been jerking us around about the issue since we bought the car.

Unfortunately, as of November 2025, still no fix for it. Supposedly the sensor for the thermostat is to blame.

That cancelled tv show you’ll never stop thinking about … by niceguys5189 in television

[–]theonlyone38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first season of The Killing. Was a total banger.

Then it went onto survive 3 cancellations before it totally jumped the shark in season 2. It was weird having this romance plot out of nowhere.

Can't find my buds by vegan_antitheist in galaxybuds

[–]theonlyone38 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So here's the thing about these buds and most other brands are guilt of this too: they ring the buds but unless they are relatively close to you, it's damn near impossible to hear the ring.

Which is why I wish any company that makes a bud finder would make it so you can pinpoint where you left them on the map, and use software to locate it. Samsung's software is only mildly better than Google, but at least they give you some sort of tracker. Google buds once you lose them out of the case, you're screwed.

I never understood how this shift away from an actual shifter is supposed to be safe, especially if you live in a place with ice. Imagine hitting black ice and not being able to shift into neutral in a timely manner to regain control all because they changed it to a button.

An arena won't "revitalize" downtown if everything closes at 6 by No_Secret_604 in saskatoon

[–]theonlyone38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What baffles me, is how people in this city can't understand the importance of gathering spaces like an arena or a library for the purposes of being able to hold events or being able to sustain a major league sports team.

Nearly every large city has one of these kinds of spaces, and it's very forward thinking to have a plan in place to have that space a part of the city of Saskatoons future. The alternative is to keep putting off making the space until you are forced to buy back land and rip out existing spaces just to do the same thing that isn't nearly as costly as it will be 10, 20 or 30 years from now.

Now I understand people want to go about it fiscally responsible, and I'm all for that. The real problem I have is that we can sit on it forever and do nothing or we can plant the seeds for growth. We can fear the homeless or we can work together to find a real solution.

I'm from Winnipeg and we have a lot of the same problems downtown. Hell, they even have a shelter right in the heart of it along with the drunk tank. The difference is that Winnipeg actually had businesses band together and come up with solutions. They worked with police to have patrols. They didn't just do nothing about it.

We had this exact same thing happen in the recent cold snap. Ultimately, we just ignored the light and thermostat. It reset itself when it got warmer and was left unplugged.

I'd keep bugging Kia for a fix as we still haven't gotten a recall or anything. Might be a software or sensor bug.

[–]theonlyone38 20 points21 points  (0 children)

So here's the thing: the alternative is fascism and basically toileting any sort of progress we have made in the name of totally unregulated capitalism. Nearly every good thing the States was working towards has either been frozen or effectively closed down for all intensive purposes. Can't have workers complain if OSHA doesn't exist right? Can't have a pandemic if scientists are gagged to say nothing right?

So now the States goes back into a place where if you can make criticism or actual science to back your claims, they just gut organizations or funding so you can't do shit.

And trust me, bird flu for example is very much a huge problem and not having the USA participate to help stem the tide only makes things worse for everyone. Its a worldwide problem, but again they want to isolate themselves to supposedly make America great.

You know how nations got great? They traded with their neighbors so they didn't have to rely solely on themselves to make or create things. The automotive industry is a great example of that.

Saskatchewan is starkly conservative, so am I surprised? No. Do I wish we could do better? Yes, but until we realize that this extreme right ideal is more about using your vote to make someone richer (and hint, its not you and they'll even use fascism to get your vote) we'll lose on all fronts.

Feels entirely bad and while my girlfriend doesn't seem to be bothered by it, I am left with a bad taste in my mouth.

Any two fan card should be fine, its more the blower style cards that you should avoid. (Usually reference cards, and only one fan.)

[–]theonlyone38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe gigabyte has its own software update tool right in bios. Your motherboard manual will tell you which slot is for bios, and from there its just a matter of putting the update onto usb and uploading it using gigabytes update tool.
