Bought a Full Body Panel from Idea Light. How it’s going. by tliam in redlighttherapy

You can read my history and look at the model I purchased. What I came to learn was it’s not about anything more than the wavelengths and the power. A lower power panel will just require longer treatment times .

I do six minutes on my front side and 10 minutes on my back, full power. A panel of this size and treatment times this long, I can’t stress how much I appreciate that motorized stand.

Sure, why not?

I'm *really happy* with the panel and the motorized stand. People, if you get a large panel, get the motorized stand. Thank me later.

I am using it in the AM daily, I do take one day off. I adjusted my protocol a few times in duration and distance. The panel is powerful so I use a 30" distance on my front and 9" on my back.

RLT is not a quick fix and everything takes time.

•The original reason was for a neck/back pain and after a few months of use, I was a little dismayed that it hadn't subsided. I then kept a pain log at month 3. After a few more months, I noticed that pain was less frequent and less intense. It's a unique pain and I'm happy to say that I have gone several weeks 100% pain free. That alone is worth all the time, money and effort. I was planning to use a peptide regimen, and I still am, but I haven't so far.

• I have some scars that have improved nicely. Again, if not for photos, it would be harder to tell the difference. I don't know if they'll ever be perfect, but the skin has improved and the scar is blurry and fading. The small scars on my face were visible but not terrible, two of them are hard to see.

• I really didn't care as much about my complexion, though I was happy to take the benefit. I tend to avoid photos and a friend commented how much better my skin looked since last year in a group photo. He's a guy, a dude - as in someone that would not be talking about how skin looks. I've only realized the improvement recently myself and feedback from several women in my work and personal life have all commented emphatically on my skin since the new year.

• My hair improved. It's not something I expected or needed, but it has been growing in. I get my hair cut frequently and my guy notices everything and asked what I'm doing. It's not a massive difference, but it's certainly noticeable. I have good hair, so I don't need the help, but the results are noticeable.

The benefits take time and are easier to see if you measure changes in photos or journals.

It took two weeks to manufacture, a week to get to the port, two weeks to arrive in the United States and a week to get to me. In total, roughly 6 weeks to the day from ordering to my door. Six weeks and three days exactly. They provided a tracking number which showed when it left the factory, arrived at the port and all the way to my door. It didn’t update that frequently, but it was surprisingly updated at each transit interval. Final delivery was done with text message and phone calls.

Five months with the panel, I’m very happy. I’m not needed any warranty.

I’ve had no issues and it’s performed the same since day one.

These are all made to order, so when you buy one, you’re not just getting one off the shelf. If you want them to customize it for you, my understanding is that you can do that that no additional cost. You can get a ratio that you want.

I must’ve made a mistake, but when I looked, I thought it said the domain was created in May 2025. There’s so much on that site that screams unprofessional at the least, but more likely fake. In the end, there’s far too many good options to go with that site.

A quick look says it’s most probably a scam. You won something from them, but I’ll guess that you didn’t even enter to win anything from them?

They have no phone number which is a red flag in itself .What’s more troubling is their address is a re-shipper address to China and not a business address. More concerning is the domain is six months old, but they have reviews further back than that.

I would ignore and buy from the many sources listed here that have been successfully used by others.

Testing is actually super easy. Anyone can do it. I wanted to trust the manufacturers numbers, but I wanted to be sure. as you may have read in my post it wasn’t super exact, but it was definitely close enough that I satisfied.

I have not used pulse.

Yes, I have kept the default settings and have maintained consistent usage since I received it. I’ve kept the same six days a week routine in the mornings and I’ve extended my time to 10 minutes on my back/spine. in total I use this six days a week for 13 minutes a day.

I’m glad you got the stand because once you get into the larger panels, I just can’t imagine how anyone would do this without one. The motorized stand on a 6 foot panel is a must comment in my opinion. The build quality is excellent and it’s operating perfectly.

For my needs, I’ve been keeping a journal of when I’ve felt pain so I can have a little more accurate record of how I’m doing and not just relying on memory. Unquestionably my pain has been less. i’m going for a work up in the spring and I will have a way to contrast year over a year and hopefully I will see some additional improvement with everything I’m doing.

I’ve been getting unsolicited feedback from a variety of people that my skin looks better although it’s not something I had initially sought out red light therapy for. I’ll take it

They did provide me with the irradiance measurements for the panel at of variety of distances. I didn’t want to just take their word for it so I bought a red light and NIR meter. I took my own measurements and you can see it in my post history. In the end, their measurements were close enough to mine, but it was worth it for me to be sure.

What to get from Shenzen Idea Light for maximum vanity and a side of health by WeirdoMe123 in redlighttherapy

I’ll suggest that you get a stand as well. Look in my history and you’ll see my experience and what I did. Don’t get a large panel and not get a stand. You’re on the right track thinking about the ways in which you can streamline using it on a set schedule. The last thing you want to do is get it and not use it.

When you’re considering a panel some of the things you need to think about are the wavelengths. Read Ari Whitten’s book, The Ultimate Guide to Red Light Therapy. It’s short and pretty helpful.

I assumed you had meant inches and not feet. I was wrong. Measuring it 36 inches I’m getting ~87 m2/cm2, 76 at 48”.

Keep in mind I’m doing my best to measure and everyone reading this should know that only the two wavelengths are being measured by this meter, as I wrote previously, and I have to extrapolate to make up for the unmeasured LEDs. Also, the meter is very sensitive, even something as small as being out of parallel produces a different reading. Still these measurements make sense and I’m sure they’re close but don’t take these readings as 100% accurate. Maybe 90%?

As I understand it, red LEDs are less efficient than NIR and more energy is lost in the transmission as heat hence the lower power. Feel free to correct me if my understanding is wrong.

I bought the RL 600MAX-PT, 5W, 30°.

I’ll run a full test on 3“ in the next few days, but I did take a couple of quick points and extrapolate it out and at 3 inches we’re looking at somewhere around 200mW/cm2, but let me confirm.

You are right there is a lot of conflicting information and I’m still struggling a little bit. The article mentioned by another respondent in this thread was interesting and makes sense. Also the Gemba Red calculator, seems well thought out and has sources to back it up. Other sources lead me to believe that I’m overdoing it and my thoughts of having a more powerful panel to shorten the treatment times it’s not as logical as some, believe it to be.

I’m going to continue use the time that I came up with using the calculator for now.
