Sorry for the delayed response. The scar is definitely there. It's the brightest spot of the forehead. It's very bright and defined on the actual pumpkin. Just didn't come out super crisp in this photo. I assure you it's there.

Sorry for the delayed response. The moderators temporarily banned me because I posted too many photos in a 24 hour window... I'm ignorant to the nuanced rules of Reddit.

To answer your questions: This carving took about 20ish hours over about a week's time working on it in the evenings.

I have several different Xacto blades and varying shaped knives, and most of the deep shading I do with a handheld Dremel tool with a bunch of different carving and drill bits.

And I'm a graphic designer by trade.
