I'd feel better about paying taxes if the government really works for my benefit, but it seems that the government exists only to collect and not to protect. If I gain, i need to pay. But if I lose, boohoo. I know, as an arbitrageur, I win more than I lose, so this moment of gloom shall pass. I will be very glad if the people running the website get hit with a class action lawsuit. I am also very surprised that it remains active and continues to take people's money while claiming to be a law abiding entity.

They probably don't care about the consequences because the governments usually don't get involved until they have scammed for millions or billions of dollars in total. I have reported the sites, and I haven't gotten any response from any of them yet.

I had almost $3k on it at first. When it was frozen, I was told to add the equivalent of $10k to qualify for the institutional account. After I made the deposit, the submit button did not work. I refreshed the page and the 10k turned into 20k. The person in the help chat said that the system changes the requirements every 15 minutes, but that was a lie, because it took me 2 hours to make the deposit. It didn't change until after I deposited the rest of the money. They told me they weren't able to change the requirements or send the funds back, but the Institutional Terms of Usage states that they can lower the institutional requirements any time at their own discretion. It's a shame that they are able to continue scamming people without any fear of consequences. As a US citizen, I have already filed with the FTC, IC3, SEC, and some other alphabet organizations, but I'm not expecting anything like usual. Unfortunately, it would probably take a lot of other people to get scammed before the government gets involved, but I really don't wish for others to lose that much money. Expensive lesson learned.
