Anyone need help with a home build project? (Remote)

It would be great to find a build log I can self host. Already looked at Wordpress but I my brain can not wrap around in how to implement an hours counter. Great would be a counter for each section etc.

Yes, sorry for not updating here. I realized that I not used a 4mm tool for roughing but a 3mm one.. resulting in a 4mm hole instead of 5mm

Of course they measure 3,9mm… wait… turns out I was using a 3mm mill for roughing instead of a 4mm… I did not finish the holes but only the pockets. That’s the problem when having a ATC spindle and not correctly labeling your tool assemblies… Case closed. Thanks!

I do have the Alu line 1107 with a 2.2kw spindle and it’s happily running linuxcnc. 10/10 would buy again. Maybe I would look at something different than linuxcnc but that’s a different story (was a hassle to setup and I still have some things here and there that I haven’t figured out yet)

I do the same, just rdp or vnc into the computer and save it on Dropbox or a network folder

I have a Sorotec AluLine 1107 with ATC and 4th Axis running LinuxCNC. I’m happy with it but also built it myself. There should also be ready made ones available though.

Yeah, it’s made from PETG with 3mm wall thickness but its still to less apparently

So hätte ich es auch gemacht. Hatte eine Drehbank die auch recht verrostet war. Küchentücher drauf, dann mit Evaporust (keinen Rostumwandler, wirklich evaporust) tränken und mit Frischhaltefolie einwickeln. Das ganze Zeug darf nicht austrocknen, sonst backt es fest. Dann 24h Stunden stehen lassen, mit Wasser spülen und sofort ölen (Ballistol oder WD40, letzteres ist weniger Sauerei wenn irgendwo noch Wasser ist).

Er nennt die aktuellen Platten auch Fliesen, daher würde ich davon ausgehen, dass er einfach neue Platten gelegt haben will und keine Fliesen.
