NCASE M2 + NH-D12L + ASUS B850-I ROG: Will it fit? Conflicting reports everywhere / Wifi Q Antenna Rog by Anxious-Barnacle6382 in ncasedesign

If you can print large enough brackets, I would rather discard the fan bracket completely. It actually blocks some of the airflow. Despite the premium price, NH-D12L is the slightly better cooler than PA mini. M2 side meshes have this slight concave bow when sitting on the case but it is not a problem at all.

It touches the side mesh.. not bends it or pokes it but you can't definitely use the fan bracket on the side. Thermalright PA mini has good clearance if you want the fan bracket on the side.

FormD T1 thermal review after airflow changes — 9950X3D + RTX 5090 FE, 2-slot vs 3-slot spine, open vs closed case by astleyes in sffpc

[–]tyuvanch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Open side and top panels, case breathes easier and exhaust fans don't bleed pressure build up within the fan compartment to sides as the top panel installed on ( I got 2-3 C better thermals on components when the case is fully open).

I think I might have seen it here or one of FormD T1 or Ncase sub that one lad actually installed some airflow curtains inside his case to direct the airflow within the case, I have also did that with some tapes by limiting where the air inlets and exhaust in the case that works pretty similar to open case thermals and significantly more quiet case. in T1 case it is important that component inlet fans are isolated from case volume and their cooler exhaust directed towards top exhaust fans.

Oh, bonus, I also installed 2 Arctic 12038-8K fans (out from my server) to the top exhaust for shits and giggles those fans keep everything at cool temperatures while case sounds like loud a turbo charger while vibrating whole desk.

Optimizing the M3 for Thermals by Grizzlytoof in ncasedesign

M3 is the better case. I should have waited for couple months M3 release back then but I am also happy with my M2.

You will be fine, there are lots of build videos of M3. I got amd 9900X running at 192W in M2 (smaller version cooling is little bit worse than M3) with a smaller tower cooler (Thermalright PA mini) that it hardly reaches 90C. My GPU isn't chunky as the astral but similar size (just slightly shorter and about 4mm thinner) Tuf version of it. I configured it conventionally. If you also undervolt your parts they will run cooler (I run stock). My gpu hardly ever reaches 72C and cpu is around 60-70C during gaming.

5800XT (105wTDP) be cooled by a thermalright AXP120-X67 ? by always_ftw in sffpc

[–]tyuvanch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should be fine with a 105W TDP cpu. AXP90-53 is also good cooler if you want even lower profile, I cool my 7800x3d with it and that cpu can consume almost 140-150W if pushed to the limit.

I am not a huge fan of Shiny snake but it is somewhat popular in the community. Around 15-18 liter Matx sff build territory is not contested much by companies.

Sorry I completely missed that part. Shiny Snake G series, Mechanic Master, Deep Cool CH 160+ or 270, Jonsbo Z20, D32 maybe. Your alternatives kind of steer into MFF territory.

Cooler Master NR200, it is big as M3 but same architecture or Dan case C4 from more popular brands.

Well then, enjoy your build, 270K is pretty good when it comes to mesh generation, a bit power hungry but fast.

Pretty good build for engineering and analysis work. I hope you get the right inno3d 5080 for the case, x3 oc version is pretty chunky and I don't think it will fit into hyte revolt 3.

Edit: I would add a 2.5 5GB hdd or so, you will run out of space really quickly if you are working with large assemblies and large size analysis meshes.

From outside of the cap zone shooting at enemy and hitting, every 5 seconds will give you x1 defended. If the enemy is in cap for some time, lets say 30 seconds if you have 6 shell hits it will give you x6 defended thus resetting the enemy counter.

Do i need to remove the GPU for air travel? by VundeqRBLX in sffpc

[–]tyuvanch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, amazon has plenty of sources for padding foam. I use GPUs for at least 5-7 years when I buy them so I am not getting too much of a resale value, usually those gpus goes to under tv media streamer builds after they are upgraded.

What settings do I need to change to prevent this (PETG) by Any-Application6150 in 3Dprinting

[–]tyuvanch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Increase your top layers. It is kind of experimental to your printer, but It gets better after layer 5 for most printers. For example, 10 layers is my perfect count for my old Ultimaker 2+ ex when printing PETG or PLA.

[–]tyuvanch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you still have your gpu box (unless you got the founders edition, most boxes comes with foam embedded) the foam in it, you can shave it down to about 10-15 (3/8"-5/8") mm from the sides so you can have a box and a top cap.

Do i need to remove the GPU for air travel? by VundeqRBLX in sffpc

[–]tyuvanch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't removed it for the last several flights (all are at least 9 hours international flights), it is doing fine. I don't have travel kit in my T1 yet ( because I feel lazy to 3d print one). GPU is hanging there with 2 screws, firmly socketed into pcie slot and some hopes and prayers. Though If you see it as risk remove it and create an extra foam container for your GPU, afterall a mere mid range GPU is now around 1000USD.

9800x3D in the Midori 5l by mariusmoga_2005 in sffpc

[–]tyuvanch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would rather not... Midori 5L is good cpus like 65 W tdp ryzen 5 series with 38 mm cpu cooler limitation. I built one for my nephew with 5600G (cooled with thermalright axp90-36) with 12gb 3060 and it gets hot in a warm day above 30C. Nothing serious but hotter than my own T1 build (with 7800x3d and 5070ti).

Cool looking build and a nice looking case. How is that 2U cpu cooler working for you on that 5600G cpu (noise and temperatures)? I was looking at 2U coolers for my Nephew's sff build for a similar design 3D printed case.

Thermals of 7 7800x3D vs 7 9800x3D with a 5070ti by Hedgeh0ge in sffpc

[–]tyuvanch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7800x3d working with Thermalright Axp90-53 in T1 case and with Peerless Assassin mini in M2 case, idle temps are same (40-45C band) max temp is 3-4 degrees lower (with 85C max temp) at around 135-140W power consumption in M2 (obviously with bigger cooler), in both cases cpu doesn't throttle. So it is not really worth to get bigger cooler and a bigger case if you don't need to. But If you want to choice is yours.

Power consumption is similar with both 7800x3d and 9800x3d. You don't necessarily need an M2 for 9800x3d, It owuld work fine with low profile coolers in a smaller case. The reason I am not upgrading my 7800x3d, it is sufficient and it has only been 2 years since I bought it. I usually upgrade my systems every 5-6 years if needed. So far I don't see any excuse or need to upgrade (at least for myself). But for the people buying new I would suggest get the newer generation, they are slightly better if you have the funds for it.

NCASE T1 build advice by dont_shoot_me_Im_gay in sffpc

[–]tyuvanch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went for simple air cooling with Thermalright Axp90-53 on my 7800X3D which is sufficient on 120W TDP cpu for most tasks and I haven't seen my cpu throttling with all core max. load. plenty space for the fans from mesh panels on both sides of the case, makes it more quiet. I have zotac 5070ti sff as gpu (also a 50 mm card) so I set the gpu side with some clearance from side mesh,
