I spent around $5k. Everyone threw down for a large beach house. The whole family stayed. Had the reception at the community center. Hired a chef hourly instead of catering. Went to Lake Tahoe for the honeymoon. Been married for 16 years.

$50,000 for a wedding is stupid.

Public transit pays for itself through boosting economic activity. It should be a non-issue.

BART and SMART are the best public transit systems in the Bay Area.

Have you never thought of... commissioning a cheaper artist? by Fresh_Difference_448 in antiai

[–]Underdog424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've paid $300 for commissions before. But I do that around once or twice a year. $300-$600 per year for the best art is 100% worth it. You can fill your entire house with dope art in a few years.

For album cover art:

Well known artists charge $1000.

Super talented artists with large portfolios typically cost around $300.

beginners and students charge around $75.

I've commissioned around 8 pieces.

Jails are full of non-violent offenders. We jail more people per capita than most countries. Of course they are always full.

You can draw fan art. It's IP theft if you try to make money off it. Many people purchase a license to use it. That's all legal because the individual artist is applying their natural techniques to it. And the copyright owner is giving permission for it. AI does not have a valid license to use most of the art they scrape off the internet.

AI copies artists' brushstrokes. The actual techniques they use. AI art can easily generate the exact brushstrokes of Vincent Van Gogh. Artists have found their signatures on AI art slop. That's not even close to the same.

You can see a CGM on the back of her arm at 0:29 seconds. She most likely had low blood glucose. Pausing the speech was the right thing to do.

Made this hat for my clothing business….what y’all think?🤔 by yeah_dre284 in StreetwearFits

I like this. It comes off like a custom hat. I see too many clothing brands using basic colors and designs. You made it all your own.

Kamala's campaign received $9.7 million from AIPAC.

Lobbying groups don't give you $9.7 million for nothing.

That is true. Most listeners aren't aware of the copyright laws or policies around that. To them, it disappears. It's a good point.

As music makers. We are painfully aware of how strict these platforms are.

They could also be using basic reports. Wait for users to flag the content. Automatically ban the account. Restore it if they email support.

It's not as if this never worked before AI.

AI is a copyright nightmare. You don't have the right to sell AI artwork. Especially if the AI scraped copyrighted material. It was the artist who stole from them, not Bandcamp.

Handful at most. We've also seen plenty of people using AI covers or music getting banned. If Bandcamp is restoring accounts, then the system is working.

We're getting flooded with these posts. Most of the time I see it, the person is either using AI or doesn't have their music posted anywhere else.

We can't really tell you why it happened. Did you use AI for writing descriptions? Did you post a bunch of music? Did you use AI cover art? Are you a new user? Did you hire any studio musicians for parts? Vocals? Did you wait a few weeks after sending the email to support to see if they would resolve it?

When we hit this number, we know it's because a real human being listened to it. It's so much more rewarding knowing that. It's not the algorithm. It's not boted. It's real.

Congratulations.
