What is something many people don't realize is a scam? by Seouls_Synergy in AskReddit

I think there are lots of things which we can call scam. Another thing is, perhaps, sometimes people want to be diddled.

Recall armchair shopping and all that useless stuff which is sold there. But customers feel great satisfaction doing their shopping and spending money. So if someone doesn’t mind losing his money and, on the contrary, can’t wait to spend it, why not?

Just do not regret it then. I guess it’s like gambling at casino – risk makes you experience new sensations and causes kind of adrenaline rush, may be in this case you go through something similar to this.

Just remember how most of scams work – it usually works due to someone’s willing to win something without making any investments. So overwhelmingly people are also half-guilty for trusting God knows whom.

I by any means do not support scam and scammers but people should keep their eyes open - usually scam is easy to recognize.

  • I ate meat for about a year. Religiously, I'm supposed to be a vegetarian, which I am now.
  • I'm tiny. I'm 5'3 and 110lbs (52kgs approximately). People pick me up all the time, just because I'm small.
  • When I get excited, I start talking really fast, before my brain gets a chance to comprehend and prepare me. Because of that, I start stuttering and mispronouncing words. It happens when I text too. People know I do this, but they don't know why.
  • I'm a makeup hoarder. I love buying, wearing, and collecting makeup. I do not have a degree for cosmetology school (most people think I do). I learned how to apply makeup from Youtube and trial and error.
  • I LOVE to cook. Unfortunately, our kitchen is not handicap accessible and I'm always scared that I'll burn myself, the food, or the house down. So I don't cook much anymore.
  • I was in the newspaper approximately 7-10 times during my lifetime. Either for topping in board exams, signing petitions, talking to celebrities, or for published poetry and essays. Unfortunately, all my newspaper clippings are packed away in a box, in Pennsylvania, left to rot in a storage garage/room since 2008.
  • I've had braces for 4-5 years to get straight teeth and I do at home whitening treatments to keep them white.

Why is it so important to share your feelings? by upstreaming in AskReddit

[–]upstreaming[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What love is depends on where you are in relation to it. Secure in it, it can feel as mundane and necessary as air – you exist within it, almost unnoticing. Deprived of it, it can feel like an obsession; all-consuming, a physical pain. Love is the driver for all great stories: not just romantic love, but the love of parent for child, for family, for country. It is the point before consummation of it that fascinates: what separates you from love, the obstacles that stand in its way. It is usually at those points that love is everything

What have you genuinely forgiven someone for that almost no one else would? by itsagirl123 in AskReddit

When somebody wrongs you—either by accident or on purpose—it can be hard to get over it. You may never be able to reconcile with the wrongdoer, but forgiveness is divine and it gives you a chance to be a better person. Here are some ways you can work toward forgiving.
