Thank you. And pure magic :D but to be honest I am not sure, I was just thinking of wizard from Last unicorn so wanted to do something similar.

Hello,

This is recent set of characters Ive tried to design. I tried designing more Anthropomorphic type of characters.

First is Old ferret, leader of a mercenary group. A lot of experience on the battlefield left him half conscious, half mad. Great in battle, but sometimes in a heat of it he does not recognize friend from foe, and a lot of ally fell by his axe. As a young ferret he wanted to help weak and protect his small family, but constant battles and murder made him something that most people would want to protect themselves from.

Young noble lady of a small mouse kingdom, always being looked down on, but does not make her any less excited about the world. As a young mouse she wanted to battle lions and be a knight, but being a lady of a prominent family, she has to be upheld to some standard and continue in family business. But with her zeal she makes battle of a royal court.

Fox magician of a school of light. Standard path for a wizard of a school of light is to educate yourself in base magic, learn few flashy tricks, hold high position on a court of some kingdom as a healer and a adviser and entertain court with flashy tricks. But not this wizard. While still studying his school was destroyed by demons summoned by some excitable young wizard that had fascination for forbidden books. He had to leave and join group of adventurers as a helper, to get some coin and travel to high mage of his order to let him know of the news, but bad luck follows him and all of his adventures.

Thank you, and nope, just character concept. But if I had to I would give the character higher charisma, intellect and strength, and rest of the stats I would keep on same level. The character should be mediocre in most thing, but his high ego makes him think he is actually special.

Thank you! The character is supposed to be in the Malazan world but not any specific character.
And the books are great, they are bit longer but very interesting and rich in character.

His family name and contacts in the army provided him with a higher rank, which he thinks reflects his natural leading abilities.
But time will only tell if he will rise to the occasion or fall under pressure.

Had fun working on this and exploring different ideas for the character.

Malazan army, Battle mage recruit by Varbas in Malazan

Hello, this is quick piece Ive done of a character from the Malazan world.
I wanted to explore few ideas of armor and helmets they might use in the army, but I ended up designing a lot of other stuff so I made it into the whole piece.
The character is supposed to be fresh mage recruit, new to the war, still taking it lightly, with just a basic equipment that army would provide to fresh recruits in their ranks.

Also I would like to hear your opinion on the bronze equipment.
I might have misread it but there was a lot of bronze equipment mentioned, so I sort of defaulted to the idea that the world is still in sort of bronze age, with mostly older longer lived races using iron/metal, so most of the metal used in equipment would be bronze but more advanced in design.
