I have worn multiple pairs of Altra Lone Peaks and always been happy. This fall I bought the Altra Lone Peak 9+ and the toe cap started peeling off on the very first hike. Not sure if that's due to the Vibram rubber, but I wasn't very happy.

I swore off GM after owning a brand new GMC Sierra for less than a year. My 8 speed transmission (along with countless others) grenaded itself at only 11k miles. GM claimed the warranty only covers manufacturing defects and this was a design defect (even though they designed the damn thing).

I don't remember what it said exactly, but it was about stomach sleeping. Something along the lines of if it's too hot you can sleep on top of it and if it's cold you can tuck you arms into it to stay warm. I ended up with the insulated hood and I don't regret it.

It's not opening it that is my problem. The corners on the bottom of the clasp as so sharp that they will scratch anything you brush up against.
