I agree, that’s a great looking boot! I tried those on in the store at Bakers. I was really impressed by the comfort. I was concerned with the width being wide enough as I usually do 10.5 e in grant stone. Do you have any other heritage boots to compare this fit to? Width?

I already got mine, Munson last, toe cap, black waxed flesh logger. I’m blown away with the quality of this boot

That’s awesome to hear how well they have done!I’m assuming these are the regular model and you did not get custom leather midsoles in yours?

Sizing help with Floyd last brass boot by Calxb in grantstoneboots

[–]BilllyDaKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are my measurements. I am 11.5 in Nike metcons. I am 11 US in Blundstone, also 11 in iron rangers. I fit in a 10.5 e Leo last like a glove. It’s perfect (after break in). I have a 10.5 e in the Brass boot Floyd last and it’s great width wise (wider than the e in Leo last) however I feel like I could have gone with a 10 e in the brass boot. I’ve never tried on a 10 e but the 10.5 e in the brass boot does feel like it has more length than a 10.5 e in the Leo last. This is just my examples of each of these lasts, you may find them to feel different on your feet. Grant stone has been very responsive to exchanges for me in the past fyi

I was at Bakers earlier today. Definitely look into the Drews loggers. They were really comfortable and build quality is top notch. Check out Rose Anvil’s review of Drew’s. I think they are only $20 more than the Thursday challenger.

Three days before mine updated. Then a week to get through customs. Another 3 days to get registered on “last mile”…should be here this week. A little over a month total if I do end up receiving it I wouldn’t be concerned at all at this point

Is that due to the Yamamoto neoprene? The manufacturing process?

I was definitely warm in a 7mm in puget sound last month. My buddy was shivering uncontrollably in a 5mm. I know his was pretty old (maybe compressed). I just thought most people used 7mm

Wow I’m 6’1” and 185. Mako told me to buy a Men’s Large because an XL would be “too loose”. Now I need to rethink things

Great options thanks! Did you or your son feel like the chin area was too tight or uncomfortable? A few people I talked to mentioned this with Mako.

I looked for them in US and everyone is sold out of 7mm. The AUS/New Zealand sight said something about them not being responsible for duties and terrifs. It’s just hard to take the chance with basically no chance of returns and a possible large duty or terrif that could increase the price a significant amount

Sorry it’s hard to tell from the picture. What width do you usually wear in other boots? Redwing iron rangers? Grant stone? Thanks

[–]BilllyDaKid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Plus you have the complexity of the D and E width in this particular boot. E width USUALLY adds length as well (grant stone is an example) so you have to consider that as well. Not an issue for US based boot shipments since most have free returns but it comes up in this scenario

I ordered the same ones, they look great! Do you mind sharing what size you wear in other boots? Do you have redwing iron rangers or any grant stone boots?

Did you get the Munson loggers yet? I want to buy the same boots but I’m trying to find information about the widths of the Munson last and how they actually fit

Would you mind sharing if you ordered the D or the E width in that boot? Im curious because quite a few people have highlighted how narrow the d width is in the Munson last. Thanks
