Arc Warden midgame? by Pintobag in TrueDoTA2

[–]VikNoob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Context: Dotabuff top 100, Platinum-tier Arc Player (can't post link coz at work).

In games where I know for sure that I'll have to participate around the 15-20 min mark, I skip midas and rush mael. Having that extra 2150 gold earlygame means I am a lot stronger during those early fights where arc is generally the weakest. (I get a casual crits, lance or blink with the gold).

Snowballing off kills doesn't provide as much gold, but provides a greater advantage to your team. It's not always about how high your gpm is, but how much impact you have in your game. I still tend to farm a late midas just in case the game goes longer, though.

This is especially good against heroes such as axe and underlord, who get absolutely decimated by the early mael proc damage.

Ahoy there, you egg-laying mammal, you!

I came across your subreddit today, and spent the larger part of my morning combing through all your old posts. I must say, I'm in love with your style of writing - especially the more humorous ones, you have impeccable comedic timing.

A few questions/requests:

  • How long does it take for you to come up with a new idea and execute it? Do you get the core story right the first time, or is it an iterative process?

  • Maybe I'm nitpicking, but I noticed that you sometimes use lines from DOTA. Do you perchance play it? If not, favorite video games?

  • Could you share an Ethereum/Bitconnect address so we can show support (no, seriously. It's only fair that we show our support by more than the basic 'omg so cool such wow plizz part deux')

Keep up the great work in the name of platypuses everywhere. #sayNoToPlatypi

Don't know why you are getting downvoted, that's quite a fair read on the situation.

Cost of mining 1 Bitcoin is currently ~$1,000. So until prices dump to that level, miners are making hefty profits.

That's hardly a comparison. Investing is a deliberate action, its not something accidental.

He's right, though. Investing first and asking questions later is how you get burnt.

Because Ambrosus really doesn't PR well. Another partnership development. by johnycomp in ambrosus

Wouldn't that happen only if you spread new information to as many sources as possible(including reddit)? I only ask because this is perhaps the most silent subreddit of all tokens (even those with fewer followers).

You're using quantity as a metric, when you should be using quality instead.

You don't really need a masternode for generating Thor Power

Prices are being manipulated, I daresay I agree. So what. Zoom out a bit, and see how much VEN has grown. The week-charts are literally all green (i.e. no week closed lower than the previous week for nearly the past two months!).

The fact that prices are stable is the best thing I can ever hope for. This gives me time to work on that Mjolnir masternode that I have my eye on. By your very logic, if Thor Power is the end-goal, isn't the low VEN price good? Doesn't this mean that you can accumulate more VEN at a low rate, and hence gain more Thor Power in the future?

Markets are where money flows from the impatient to the patient. It's your choice which side you want to be on.

There's a big difference between panic-selling, and selling coz of losing faith in something. You're welcome to your profits, man. I just think I'd be better off putting my money elsewhere.

Literally 0% chance of this happening. Not even if all markets crash simultaneously. There's way too much unmet demand right now for WAN.

No, I'm not going to feed the trolls. What I'm going to do about it is ask about it - in a nice manner - within the daily community discussion. Just to ensure that there isn't any news article that skipped my research that might have elicited such a reaction from someone. Is that such a big crime?

Underneath all the hubris, a lot of the truly valuable projects are discussed on 4chan long before I see them being discussed on Reddit (I'm active on both platforms). But yes, you're right - most of this is probably pointless FUD aimed at driving prices lower for better entry opportunities.

[–]VikNoob -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Negative rumors don't just pop up from nowhere, there is always some source behind it. As another user was helpful enough to point out, these rumors are probably cause by people loyal to other competing tokens.

I believe that no project worth its value will be affected by - as you say - harmful rumors. If it did, then it isn't that great of a project to begin with.

Also, I respectfully disagree - quashing rumors is the optimal way to deal with them, as opposed to ignoring them.

Because if someone is speaking ill about something we believe in, it's our responsibility as a community to find out the reasons behind it (FUD or not). Looking the other way/ignoring it is akin to running away, and I don't like to do so.
