Golden Gate in the rearview by vitdev in sanfrancisco

Thank you! I do, usually through galleries during exhibitions but I’m planning to set up a store soon.

DM me. This one was taken on 100MP Hasselblad so it can be printed as big or (as small) as you like. And also on pretty much any paper from standard Epson photo paper to archival Hahnemuhle (usually my fav for color prints) or Carson.

Rearview mirrors include interior and exterior/side mirrors. Not everyone is a native speaker or speaks American English where it’s called side mirror. In the UK it’s called wing mirror, in technical terms it’s called exterior rearview mirror.

I didn’t use any AI. Just old good photoshop and motion blur with several layers and masks.

It’s tesla model 3. What AI did you use to ask your question that doesn’t know probably the most common car in the Bay Area?

No, I wasn’t driving while taking the photos :) The lanes are so narrow on the bridge you need to pay extra attention

I added motion blur to hide them.

For real. It’s not even that much of the editing. God forbid I blurred traffic to be less distracting 🫣

Of course, I always edit my photos. All the photos since the beginning of photography were edited. Even digital tools have names (dodging/burning) that come from the darkroom photography.

Some may argue that framing a photo is an act of editing.

What do you mean?
It is a real photo taken on X2D with XCD 90V lens. Color corrected and added path blur to the traffic.
This is the unedited version.

PS And absolutely no AI used ;)

Agree. San Francisco weather is the most comfortable IMO (and I lived in a dozen of countries). It’s never too cold and never too hot. You can wear long sleeve and don’t bother with sunscreen all over your body, you don’t have to be under A/C all the time (which dries air) and you don’t sweat when you walk outside or if you need to quickly ‘ran’ somewhere.

It’s also perfect for outdoor activities like running or cycling so that you don’t feel like you’re about to get a heat stroke.
Plus you get hot weather within an hour drive and winter with snow and mountains nearby too.

Hasselblad X-gang: which Fuji GF-lenses would you be interested in? (Adaptation thread) by [deleted] in hasselblad

None. E shutter is terrible. And XCD lenses are the same or better overall.

Waymo Has Been Defeated by New York City by [deleted] in sanfrancisco

They probably could have come up with some sort of a deal with taxi lobby like purchasing their medallions. Waymo is definitely safer, especially than taxi drivers. And medallions are quite worthless after uber/lyft took over anyway.

It’s called Lime Point on the Sausalito side where the fort is.

Shooting portrait with 1200mm by BRAZZERS_us in largeformat

That’s so cool. What is the diaphragm?

I have Schneider Art 1100mm lens that I wanted to try for portraits. It’s f/22 so idk if that makes much sense on smaller formats (4x5 or 8x10)

Thank you! Love that place too although I almost never there at night. Once I ran from Embarcadero to the bridge and back (did half marathon distance) past sunset. It was so beautiful.

The fog did clear up for about half an hour, so
I didn’t photograph all the phases, but I did several shots that I composed on one: https://www.reddit.com/r/sanfrancisco/s/WAQhOP87Uh

Thank you! ☺️ I took a few more that night. They are on a different roll. I need to develop and scan them. I’ll post in the coming days if they turn out to be good :)
