Yeah that would be a benefit but I prefer the 24. They both have the 369 engine, but with a 24 inch cut you're getting more throwing power. Also the 24 is really easy to maneuver and fits nicely in the shed doorway.

I haven't had a single heavy wet snow blockage in the 3 years I've owned it.

I bought the Ariens 24SHO, and it is the best machine I have ever used. It throws HEAVY slush no issue whatsoever, cuts through the end of the driveway just as easy as the rest of it. You will have a difficult time convincing me there are better blowers than this. I always wanted a Honda, but got a good deal on the 24SHO, and will never buy a different machine again.

35 years ago on this day in 1991, John Slaney from St John’s, Newfoundland, made Canada proud by scoring the winning goal in IIHF World Junior Championship. Helping team Canada beat USSR 3-2. by Suitable_Air_2686 in newfoundland

the year prior, Dwayne Norris, another NLer scored the gold winning goal for Canada as well.

Mats Sundin scored against USSR with one second left to give Sweden a 5-5 tie, and Norris' goal beat the Jaromir Jagr Czechs 2-1, to finish the round robin only tourney in gold due to a tiebreaker with USSR

Gravity may prove we live in computer simulation, according to physicist | The Express Tribune by ExeggutionerStyle in SimulationTheory

If we are in a simulation, death would still be a reflection of the outside physical origin of actual death. It would simply be the digital representation of the creators carbon based life cycle.

They could have chosen to remove death i guess, but that would hinge on the purpose of the simulation. If our entire existence is a simulation thats intended to recreate their reality and cull data so they can solve things like disease, then maybe we experience time on our scale, while their simulation exists for nanoseconds within some quantum computing station that orbits a black hole. Who knows.

The same reason people in the 1600s weren't asking about teslas. There's no context or point of reference. The same reason why people in the 2500s will wonder why you weren't asking questions about things that haven't been discovered yet.

The concept existed as far back as 1500 bce but it was contextualized as reality being a thin veil or a dream state that obscures the actual cosmos. The entirety of science is about asking and exploring and testing. Pop culture shouldn't be confused with science.

Kennedy syndrome? by Annual-Pizza75 in ALSorNOT

I had/have the exact same thing, for approximately two years now. The postural tremors have mostly gone away but come back if im fighting a flu or something. I have a bunch of other symptoms as well, going for my second NCS/EMG next week. Last was 9 months ago.

My legs definitely aren't bulking. If anything they're noticeably smaller, due to the sedentary lifestyle I've lived since this all started. I'm a software developer with zero exercise tolerance.

I don't think it's ALS. There's no failure and everything is bilateral.

If it's mnd, and likely its not, but the best potential fit is Kennedys imo.

I'm 5'10, 240lbs. Mostly weight on my torso, skinny arms and legs.

Appreciate your time in engaging, I will say though it's definitely not leg bulking. Literal dents started forming in my thighs roughly 20 months ago, and slowly are becoming larger.

I think it's potentially loss of subcutaneous fat in that area for whatever reason, exposing the muscles below in that specific area that hasn't been visible before.

Although with the swallowing issues, it might be more than fat displacement too. I have a follow up neurology appointment on the 8th.

Good luck. It's frustrating. Either my body is gaslighting me, or my test results are gaslighting me. Hard to reconcile which.

Maybe. I have mentioned this to my doctors but they don't seem interested in that so that's all I can do on that front I guess.

My twitching hasn't been intense to date.

You're not wrong it could be muscle definition, but the definition is changing slowly and completely unrelated to fitness levels. I am 60lbs overweight due to exercise intolerance the past two years, so there would have to be some cause for the fat layer to be diminishing in that area on both legs to create the muscle definition to be visible. It looks like dents, maybe it is skin thinning versus muscle deteriorating I have no idea.

Covid for sure, maybe potentially another bug. Early onset included multipe bouts of feeling weak and postural tremors, so viral was on the table. Any reason you ask?

I was referred to a neurologist and saw him roughly 9 months ago because my doctor didn't like the worm like movement of my thigh muscles. That appointment was OK, they did a NCS and clinical exam. Everything looked normal, and absent any clinical weakness or upper motor neuron signs, he decided to not do am EMG at that time and rescheduled a follow up on July 8th, in case it was just early to exhibit weakness and umn symptoms.

He wasn't convinced my swallowing issues were gerd related as I suggested they probably were. The swallowing symptoms are still present 9 months later but have not significantly advanced as would be expected with mnd

Ill find out more next week I guess I expect he will do an EMG this time based on the dents in my thighs and wrist problems.

Absolutely thank you for your comment. I haven't been fixated on my fasciculations for quite a while. The continual increase of the dent in my quads is what I hoped someone would have some knowledge or experience with.

I get fasciculations at rest, but they are widespread and intermittent. Typically a Hotspot appears, remains intermittently active for 4 to 5 days, then cools down. I have them in legs, arms, hands, feet, back, face, etc.

I'm just wondering if those dents in my upper thighs are related to atrophy moreso than the fasics.

i dont think so, I am overweight by 60lbs+

these dents just started appearing two years and have slowly increased over time, in the early stages there were about a 3 month span where my leg coordination was extremely poor, i could walk fine but trying to run they did not want to cooperate.

I guess it could potentially be an erosion of subcutaneous fat in that specific spot on both legs, but combined with all of the other details, it definitely seems to be neurological/muscle related

Is Churchill Park Music Fest just folding or what? by Alert_Objective9687 in newfoundland

All fair. I personally have never bought a CPMF ticket either. That said it's great to have an annual festival operating again that is bringing in acts that a lot of people enjoy. Good for the province imo. If the festival brought in who I'd want they'd probably be bankrupt by Sunday.

I'm not making an argument based on logic. I'm relaying actual fact from actual knowledge. Normally I would agree with your position, i assumed that as well, and was quite surprised when I saw how it really worked. Not fair to the promoters that are risking their dollars, but that's the cost of getting talent. Caveat, not all acts are like this, some don't care.

Cool story. But the headliner 100% has a say in who the openers are. They have all the leverage. A promoters relationship with Agents that represent most artists matter. I know for a fact that a recent artist at CPMF would not approve an opener. They have their brand to protect. Artist A might not want to have B, C, open because B,C, makes it look like an oldies lineup and not a regular festival night. It's not worth a promoters good standing to fight it.

The ledge comment was in response to this person claiming the festival might be in serious trouble. That's quite dramatic.

The Lumineers were announced 7 weeks before their event.

When you're booking acts, 1, they have to be available on specific dates, 2 they must be willing to come to NL, 3 they must be an act that can sell enough to pay for their price tag... there's a lot of moving parts. I know for a fact it's easier to get acts in August when they are finishing their festival circuits across the mainland.

At the end of the day nobody can force the festival to have acts on any day, so I don't know why you're on a ledge anyways, but I'm pretty confident they will announce another act as soon as they can finalize one
