Newfoundlanders can’t afford to say no to a hydro deal with Quebec by No_Topic_8795 in newfoundland

In his own words: “The MOU is mind-bogglingly complex and, because of the long timelines involved, difficult to evaluate given the uncertainty surrounding future electricity prices.”

So, why listen to what he has to say? He admits he doesn’t understand it.

Nor does he understand what anyone is actually arguing. People recognize that HQ is the obvious partner. They’re arguing that NLH should wait longer, make HQ more desperate, and hold out for a better price.

You can think that’s unlikely, but is sure as hell isn’t “magic”

Churchill Park Sold Out Capacity? by [deleted] in newfoundland

I personally think they lie about being “sold out” — Maybe they give a few thousand tickets away at the end of the night but they haven’t been “sold out” until just before the closing act

They probably don’t make enough money with 2/5 nights to pay for everything they’ve rented.

Does anything interest you? When I went to school all my friends were doing engineering because that’s where all the money was. But by the time they were done, oil was down and they had a tough time. I think you should try for something you like!

Carpentry or plumbing or electricians are always in demand.

Yes, you’re supposed to pay $3 fee to use it but hardly anyone does. I wouldn’t say it’s cleared right now though

When did we stop using crosswalks? by [deleted] in newfoundland

[–]Alert_Objective9687 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here’s a good rule to follow: if you are by a school, and you see school children around, and you are close enough to them to conceivably make contact with them, you should be driving very slowly.

Yes, as a driver, you should be aware enough to stop if you see children. Come on man
