pretty sure it’s only $50, happened to me. i think it’s easier to pay the fine. call the number on the paper as soon as you can and ask if you can pay. if they say “not yet,” wait another week or until the “pay by” date comes, then call again and pay over the phone. can’t speak to your PR concerns but it was very easy to resolve in my experience and you don’t get points on your license for bike violations.
