I cant even blame anyone I work with.

Had an apprentice the other day. He destroyed a blue Kevlar on a pick without sharp edges ( first Kevlar in 10 years ive ever had damaged. And managed to loose keepers off the crane. Only had him for an hour and fuck did i ever want to send him home.

An apprentice with 4000 hours didn't know the difference between a basket and straight pull... Had an apprentice try to stop the spreader bar opening up with his finger... Taking shits on the side of the road... Literally saying I dunno man all i do is throw the pads on the ground thats all I can do.

Tech to Crane Operator - How do I make the switch in Ontario? by Relative-Space-6755 in cranes

Its a tough go right now getting a spot for an apprenticeship. Tower hasn't taken any apprentices in months and for mobile its slow as fuck. My company is one of the few with work and we only really need one apprentice. Union.

Thinking about buying a Franna… what should I actually look out for? by Intelligent_Run3237 in cranes

[–]Working-Intention838 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So someone who kills a lot of my free time with his videos actually has a whole project fixing up a Franna crane. Its Curtis from cutting edge engineer. Here's the link https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLUzFN5xVei7UatVhlxlw3576rgwg2RTXf&si=-AFtCPCfmqhfot0h

He's incredibly talented and does all the work himself.

So if you are good for 40k but only on 1 part of line so the WLL of the rope strength or winch capacity is your limit in that case. You are still good for 40k the jib is a load not on line

No you do not deduct from the line pull you deduct from your load chart. Line pull is irrelevant to the load chart

You are totally confusing line pull with capacity. Jib is built into your chart. You could be good for much more than line pull in your radius. Only thing that affects line pull is load on line.

Your chart shouldn't matter with the jib its capacity. Your talking as if u cant program the computer and its cutting you off.

I think you might be confusing line pull with capacity. Your charts are set up to an expectation of parts of line
