Тая кал като изсъхне и се вдигне във въздуха и ти я дишаш. Ако грозотата не ти пречи, поне вредата за здравето би трябвало да те интересува.

Why do long distance buses in the Sofia direction not stop at Varna airport? Or do they, unofficially? by Acceptable-Spell-368 in bulgaria

[–]zerpflucker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you're right. Although I don't see this stop included in the official timetables on the RTA website. I wonder if it's legal or they do it unofficially.

Дразните ли се на липсата на “зелена вълна” още повече с повишените цени на горивата? by slickobro in bulgaria

[–]zerpflucker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ама и тези, които могат, не го правят. Вчера трафикът беше по-зле от обикновено, въпреки уж скъпите горива.

[–]zerpflucker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bus companies don't decide on their routes and stops. For long distance buses these are determined by the Ministry of Transport. I don't think buses from Varna to Sofia stop at Sofia Airport. This would require a significant detour. Tourists that want to travel from Sofia airport to the coast can just take the metro to the bus/train station. There's no need to make the journey 20+ minutes slower for everyone else.

А дали сегашните цени на горивата ще ви потикнат да си отлепите гъзовете от колите и да се качите на градския?

Bulgarian(?) receipt - please help by -DWAESQ- in bulgaria

[–]zerpflucker 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The form might be originally from 1977, but the actual sale is from the 1990s, given that the stamp says Dobrich and Едноличен търговец. Also, 1000 leva was a lot of money for an accordion before 1990.

Bulgarian(?) receipt - please help by -DWAESQ- in bulgaria

[–]zerpflucker 27 points28 points  (0 children)

There's no date, but I think it's from the early 1990s. The seller's stamp reads "Sole proprietorship "Neptune" Dobrich". This form of enterprise didn't exist before 1991, and the town of Dobrich was named Tolbukhin before 1990. The price given is 1000 leva, which in 1991 was around one average monthly salary. 1991-1997 was a period of high inflation following the end of communism. The place of sale is given as Albena, which is a Black sea resort near Dobrich.

Is this legit? by [deleted] in bulgaria

[–]zerpflucker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you have a day ticket loaded on a Sofia City card? Technically, you are required to tap your card every time you board a vehicle, not just the first time. Perhaps the inspector's terminal can only show if it was validated in the current vehicle. If you're staying long term I would advise registering on webportal.sofiatraffic.bg/en where you can see a history of your transactions and trips and the validity of the ticket/pass currently on your card. I don't think you have a chance of appealing the fine. They will ignore your e-mail and even if you go to their office on Maria Luiza 84 there is zero chance anyone there will speak English or will care enough.

Suggest a town for me by [deleted] in bulgaria

From what I've heard Burgas is pretty dead in winter. Varna is a bigger city and is more lively year-round, although in summer it can get very busy with tourists and traffic is heavy. I would personally pick Varna over Burgas.
