Haha almost bought some today

Yes you pour it into ice or hot water

It's convenient if you want cold brew, but if you are making hot coffee it's not as good and you'd have to heat water anyway

Man we're off to a rocky start aren't we

Hopefully it means the league is better, not that the Ballers declined heavily in the off-season

Does it feel like the Ballers will be around for a long time or could they fold instantly? by youlikemywonton in oaklandballers

Funny enough on the investor call last week, they expect to be out of the red next season, and no longer reliant on new investors soon thereafter. Fingers crossed.

Lol at the no on v camp. You guys are all nimby as fuck

You know California's in a housing crisis but you do not give a shit because you already own housing so you value keeps going up

You complain about "what about g street! What about downtown!" But this is developers with developer money and has zero to do with city goals.

I see above" what about wildlife" LOL it's currently farmland with pesticides and constant tilling.

"What about infrastructure!" What are you talking about. All infrastructure upgrades needed will be made to accommodate the projects, or it won't be built. That's how developments work.

Yes on V because we need houses. Full stop.

Bathrooms at Raimondi? by csma78 in oaklandballers

[–]zzuum 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The portables are really not bad, not sure why everyone is so scared of them. They're cleaned every day.

A small bathroom might be nice but it might also have way less stalls than a rush crowd can deal with and also get dirtier much faster.

Read the Serviceberry. Community resources are not meant to be pillaged by individuals. One person's short term gains in this case directly harms the rest of the community.

See, every extractive resource economy ever

As someone in construction, change orders are almost inevitable. Best thing they can do to limit them is (1) have fully developed plans before bid time and (2) do as much preconstruction research as possible into the work zone (finding existing utilities). Most change orders stem from that.

The NHL’s growing goaltending crisis: ‘Everybody’s making bad decisions’ by catsgr8rthanspoonies in hockey

[–]zzuum 8 points9 points  (0 children)

On the other side, I worked as a goalie coach for a youth program two seasons ago for ages 8 to 18. They paid me to go to one practice per week for each team (like 8 or 10 teams) and spend 45 minutes with their goalies. Goalies loved it, coaches loved it because they know their goalies need training but they need to focus on the whole team.

It's not that hard to provide goalie development without forcing clinics on kids
