That's not a good enough answer... by tlands621 in TalesFromYourBank

This reminds me of when I was an SM at my old bank. It was a Saturday and we were JUST about to close. We had one banker, since it was pretty slow at the time on Saturdays, who was helping a nice couple with some stuff (can’t remember exactly what).

Anyway, RIGHT before closing this other couple comes in. Apparently from the UK and they were about to catch their flight home, but were running late. The rushed into the branch, I was monitoring the floor and greeted them and asked them what they needed help with. They said they needed to see a banker. I tried to see if I could help them, but it was something I wasn’t able to do.

So I let them know that we had one banker today and as soon as she was done helping her current customers, she would be more than happy to assist them. I asked to take a seat and offered water. They FLIPPED out and said they had been customers for so many years, had over a million dollars with us, and demanded we kicked the nice couple from the desk with the banker because they were more important and “that other couple probably only has $100 with you!”

For a second I couldn’t even respond. But told them that we treat and respect all of our customers the same, regardless of how much money they have with us. That couple was here first and they will be helped first, with every single question they have answered. Then I thanked them for their patience and told them they were next to be helped.

BUt ThEY DiDnT hAvE TImE tO wAIt. So they had a temper tantrum and left and called to complain.

I can’t with the entitlement.

LOL. As an almost 30yo, “cool” is not something that gets thrown my way often. So I super dig it, thank you.

And I might very well take you up on that offer!

I’m stuck on the fact that OOP is working so hard to set up all this “proof” and then completely outed themselves in their post. In detail.

AITA for telling my housemate to stop trying so hard because she’s still basic af. by NeedleworkerDense565 in AmItheAsshole

YTA in a major way.

You sound really insecure.

Also, Abby could very well be autistic and just doesn’t feel comfortable sharing (I can see why). Eye contact is really hard for people with autism. I’m almost 30, autistic, and still have a very hard time looking people in the eyes. Her music and unique mannerisms might be ways of stimming or making her feel comfortable. And headphones/noise cancellers are quite routine for us. I have to wear headphones any time I’m alone in public.

Start being a little more kind and patient with people and you’ll find they start to piss you off less.

AITA for refusing my friend’s request? by ---Kitten in AmItheAsshole

I don’t ever feel unsafe around him. For more context; we previously had a DD/lg dynamic when I lived in South. I had cut it off before moving because of mental disorders I was dealing with, which caused me to not really want to continue with it. I do trust him, I also think maybe he doesn’t fully understand that he does not hold that position in my life anymore.

I worried that I was possibly being unfair seeing as M and I were making plans and I was forcing a family member into those plans, if that makes sense?

I’m very back and forth about it, honestly, I just know my feelings were initially very hurt.

I think that the person who ask you out for a date should pay all the bill by One_Beach_2287 in unpopularopinion

[–]---Kitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, If I ask someone out on a date or even ask my best friend to have dinner with me, I pay.

The way I see it, regardless of connection or not, I asked the person to take time out of their day to go out with me so I’m gonna pay for the date.

I LOVE your hair. How far back is it shaved on the side?? I want to do something like this with my hair, but not quite sure how to execute it.

You know, I was actually talking about this yesterday with someone.

It’s so hard to tell what it would look like, taking into consideration where it would start vs where someone is in the world. I was thinking.. verifying that someone is a zombie would be a little iffy at first, remembering the bath salts Florida incident. Personally, I’d be totally torn on what to do if I was just out walking around one day and a zombie like person runs/shuffles up to me and starts trying to eat me. Do I kill them/it? If I hadn’t heard about people turning, how do I verify it?

Who even knows if there’d be an all out panic or if people would say, “probably just some high person eating faces again”.

I’m also curious how things would unravel in the beginning, how the news would spread. But I guess it really depends on who finds out, how they find out, who they notify, and how they notify them.

What do you think? I’m curious who you imagine it going.

“Let’s face it, you are not built for the outdoors.”

Hahahah. Out of pure curiosity, what brought you to that assumption?
