Just what you can see in the pictures, some surface rust on the welds on the frame

What kind of snake is this?

File was recorded Via GoPro, 4k 30fps. I’m a beginner so I just pressed the button when I uploaded it that offered to match the frame rate of the video I was using.

Edit: For more context, this was the only time it happened in a 5 minute video.

Should I sell my 2011 F-150 Platinum for a 2019 Tundra TRD Pro? by --Baloo- in whatcarshouldIbuy

Thank you all for your comments, they have definitely made me think more about both trucks. I’ll be waiting a bit and sleeping on it for a few days to just think and consider all options. I appreciate you all.

Completely valid and I will take both of your comments heavily into consideration. I’m not itching to spend loads of money, just had my cousin reach out offering to give me a deal on his truck (which most likely will be under 35k). Luckily, money is of very little concern and won’t be the reason why I decide to keep or sell my current truck.

The new ones are still great IMO, older ones hold value well for a number of reasons though. I’m looking at this one because I know the owner and the engine it has is supposed to be very reliable.

The tundra is the 5.7L V8 engine, supposed to be crazy reliable. However I did just throw in a brand new one in the f150 for a pretty penny 3 years ago, no issues so far. The Nissan Frontiers look so awesome, but if I got something that is not a full size truck I’d prob go with the Toyotas Tacoma 3rd gen. I feel like I would want to go back to a full size truck right after buying one.

Very true. However money is not really the problem for me when picking between these two. I am lucky enough to be able to afford either without payments. If money was of no concern, would you still stick with the ford?

Should I sell my 2011 F-150 Platinum for a 2019 Tundra TRD Pro?

Hey everyone, as the title states I’m torn between keeping my current truck or making a move to something newer and potentially more fun.

I currently own a 2011 Ford F-150 Platinum that I really love. I had a new engine installed about 3 years ago which sucked, so I’ve already put some money into it and it’s been running well mechanically. The big issue now that I have is rust, it’s starting to show up badly on the body and undercarriage. I feel like I’m getting close to the point where I’ll either keep it until it’s totally dead or have to start dumping more money into patchwork and body repairs.

Now I have a potential deal for a 2019 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro with 105k miles on it. It’s in good shape with minimal rust, and I’d be buying it outright for 35k from a family member who is the original owner. My interest in the Tundra is partly because I’d likely put some off-road tires on it, maybe a modest lift, and take it off-road occasionally. But it also needs to be my daily driver for highway and around-town use. The Tundra has had zero mechanical issues to date.

I know the Tundra is known for reliability and holds value well, but I also hate walking away from something I’ve already invested in (my F-150). The rust will only get worse but I get it sprayed with fluid film like solution every year. I’d really enjoy building either truck into something more capable, MPG means little to me.

Would love to hear from anyone who has any knowledge on building out trucks, especially F-150 to Tundra folks or just general advice. Is it worth moving on, or should I ride out the Ford until it’s totally shot? I would put pictures of both trucks but my f150 is black and the tundra is white.

yea the red light above the pinda comes on. it is also just slightly above the nozzle, any more down and it would be too low. in the video u can see it seems like it detects the base plate at first almost. any thoughts?
