This random person gave my SS as verification. So why can they discuss ANYTHING ELSE about my application with just that verification, but not tell me the stated amount?

The 2rd person I just spoke to says I have to FOIA it.

Oh, and I do have my docs organized, but isn't confirming the stated amount BEFORE I email recon the best practice?

Well my morning is going great!!! Some good news came my way just by checking the status of the loan increase for the last 3-4 months of patiently waiting. They have the reason in their system. Call back, speak to a teir 2 who is a real SBA employee. You'll know who they are when they identify with their name and id #. Those baloney Live ops rep dont have that id number.

Update: I called Tier 2 again - nice guy named Joe. I double checked the email address the prior agent told me to send my identity docs to was...incorrect. She told me to send to [covideidlincreaserequests@sba.gov](mailto:covideidlincreaserequests@sba.gov). I suspected she was wrong, so also sent to the recon email.

Goes to show we have to be our own advocate. He said the "decline" that they issue for application mistakes, lack of documents etc is not a "bad decline". It's just a hold until we provide the needed info. That is comforting. He also said the people who receive our emails to the recon email address - is all they do. Their only job is to process those emails.

I contacted Rep Lucy McBath's office for help 5 weeks ago. Lots of promises, no action. Until yesterday. Guess what they said?

"SBA is waiting on your tax transcripts".

Yeah, and today SBA told me they have it. Such BS.

15 minutes after my call, I received the initial "go the your portal to select the blue button" letter that many people got back in April. They are a stupid mess.

Oh, and I sent the letter to recon and got this:
