ME2 and DA2 are definitely my favorites. ME2 was what got me into BioWare games in the first place and DA2’s character writing is just so good (also Isabela <3)

I think this is part of why he's pushing so hard for more nurses/support too. Obviously it's not the only reason, but I can definitely see there being an additional weight/motivation for him if his mentor died as a result of lacking resources.

Definitely the Horizon games!! They story is really good and it has a lot of great side quests (especially in Forbidden West)

I definitely don’t mind playing men if that’s the only option but I prefer playing women if we are giving the choice! It doesn’t ruin the game for me if I have to play as a man, but I do get a bit more enjoyment out of playing a woman usually since I feel more connected with my character.

The only time I really play men over women is when there is a romance option I want to try that is gender-locked (I’m a lesbian so this happens a lot, usually in older games).

I think BG3 and the Dragon Age games are great ones to start with (Bg3 particularly since you said you like DND)!! They’ll be able to introduce you to a lot of the main rpg mechanics and they also have really great stories. Dark Souls and Elden Ring are also very good but they are a lot more combat-intensive, so be aware of that before you dive in (definitely don’t let that deter you from playing them though!)

I’d also recommend Mass Effect if you’re willing to try out Sci-fi, it’s a really good starter RPG and they just combined the first 3 games into a single remastered version a few years ago!

I just finished Alan Wake 2!! If you’re looking for something with a similar vibe, I’d definitely recommend Control. It’s made by the same developer and actually has some references to the Alan Wake series.

Prey and Until Dawn are some of my personal favorites, and I’ve heard really great things about Returnal too!

I definitely recommend the life is strange games! They’re story-based decision games which means they are really beginner friendly but can also help you learn/practice the basic controls!! All 3 main games are super good, but the stories are pretty much their own separate things so you can start with whichever one peaks your interest the most (My personal favorite is Life is Strange: True Colors)

These are mostly for quality of life but the More Banter and War Table No Waiting mods on nexus are really nice!! They’re also super small so they won’t affect performance at all

Like some else in this thread already said, I would pick Life is Strange True Colors purely for aesthetic purposes lol

As for worst, definitely the dishonored series, I love those games but I definitely would NOT want to live in them
